Well, it's still overpriced, but it's sure as hell not a piece of crap.

Why are they bothering with doing a limited run of these? These could easily be mass marketed, allowing them to sell way, way, way more than the 41 they've sold so far at a substantially cheaper price.

Motorcycle on the road, bicycle anywhere else (suburbs, parking lots, etc). Super portable, and you can park it anywhere.

The only way it would be worth it is if I could use it in the Tour de France. With that speed and range, I might be able to finish ahead of the pack. But the last ~50 miles would be tough having to pedal that thing.

But the question should be: Why are they trying to market an electric bicycle as a luxury item? It's a bicycle. Decidedly lower class if you're using it to commute, and purely a tool for recreation and exercise if it's not used for commuting.
