DVI has not lost the battle with HDMI. That is why you see all graphics cards with DVI, but HDMI isn't a certainty.<br><br>And since monitors are primarily for PC's, what is the benefit of HDMI over DVI? For example i have my xbox 360 hooked up my my monitor with hdmi, and i can now have analog audio come out of my monitor. If I can also watch conventional TV to boot, what’s not to like? Samsung is notorious when it comes to glossy displays. It could be that the glass frame covers the whole screen :(<br><br>I'm perfectly happy with my HP ZR24w, big matte non-TN display. Your losing space with 1080p monitors and they seem cheap to me. For 24" and greater, 1080 is crap, yes.  But for 22" and below, it's pretty good. Street price might be lower.  I have a previous generation Samsung monitor/TV.  The only difference is that it's a 16:10 screen so it either cuts the ends or shows letterboxing bars. It is a 26in widescreen and is the predecessor to this monitor. It has 1920x1200 resolution, DVI, and HD-tuner. It is nearly the perfect blend between computer monitor and TV.<br><br>It's sad to see Samsung remove features such as DVI and true monitor resolutions and still call this a PC monitor. It's just another HDTV. Then, the other question is how many bits is the color? I think Apple displays use 10 bit? Some other high-end displays use 12 bit color. This eliminates banding and improves color accuracy. Most TN monitors use 6 bit color and have horrible banding and not so good color accuracy.
