BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Boston.com's immensely popular and award-winning blog, "The Big Picture," is now available as an iPad and iPhone app. "The Big Picture" is a photo blog that presents news stories solely through large-format, high-quality photographs gathered from news services around the world.

It also presents compelling photography of more timeless subjects such as astronomy and the planet Earth. In 2009 it won two Webby Awards for Best Use of Photography, both juried and people's voice. It has also been nominated for the South by Southwest (SXSW) Web Awards and Editor & Publisher's Eppy Awards.
