Cryptozoic announces Assault on Icecrown Citadel raid deck for March 1

Coming soon to a store near you is the latest offering from Cryptozoic's World of Warcraft Trading Card Game: Assault on Icecrown Citadel. This new raid deck pits players taking the part of Tirion Fordring, Jaina Proudmoore, or Sylvanas Windrunner against the Lich King. Complete out of the box, the four-player game features loads of new art and allows players to take the part as one of the three heroes or as the Lich King himself.

The best part? Each deck comes with that hero's legendary weapon, from Ashbringer to Frostmourne. And of course, there are other perks to be had -- each Treasure Pack holds the chance of getting a nifty loot card that can be used in game. The Icecrown Citadel Raid Deck and Treasure Packs are scheduled for a release date of March 1.

Cryptozoic Entertainment Announces New Features for Assault on Icecrown Citadel Raid Deck and Treasure Pack

Cryptozoic Entertainment™ announces the upcoming release of Assault on Icecrown Citadel, a new Raid Deck and Treasure Pack. In Assault on Icecrown Citadel, players are immersed in a frozen battlefield inhabited by legendary minions, taking on the roles of Highlord Tirion Fordring, Lady Jaina Proudmoore, and Lady Sylvanas Windrunner to band together against the Lich King himself!

This four-player game has everything needed to play directly out of the box. Each player takes a deck, either playing as one of the three heroes of Azeroth or as the evil Lich King whom they battle. Each hero deck comes with that hero's legendary weapon: Ashbringer, Staff of Antonidas, Deathwhisper, and Frostmourne. As the Lich King, players will be able to command some of the nastiest minions that roam the halls of Icecrown Citadel. The decks also feature new art for Fire Blast, Frostbolt, Counterspell, Multi-Shot, Redemption, Hammer of Justice, and others! Furthermore, each Treasure Pack, which includes nine foil gameplay cards, holds the chance of obtaining a Loot™ card. Treasure Packs are also sold separately!

Assault on Icecrown Citadel is scheduled for release on March 1, 2011.
