WRUP: VGAs 2011

Join us tomorrow night for our annual tradition of watching (and potentially liveblogging) the 2011 Video Game Awards on Spike at 8PM Eastern. Listen, if we have to show up, the least you can do is join us in solidarity... please, it'll be so lonely without you.

What's everyone playing?

  • Alexander Sliwinski (@XanderSliwinski): Skyrim. Time to finish that main story as an excuse to put it down.

  • Arthur Gies (@Aegies): I'll be doing some unplugged type things this weekend, including drawing/painting and reading this thing, but I'll be around Saturday for the VGAs and maybe some MW3. Or maybe I'll jump back into Dead Space 2 and Bulletstorm. Stupid GOTY discussions!

  • Ben Gilbert (@BigBossBgilbert): I've got old man Ezio hanging around the apartment, and I'm thinking I kinda have to finish the main story in Skyrim before I play it for the rest of my life. Also, those updates to Jetpack Joyride are tiiiiiiight.

  • Christopher Grant (@ChrisGrant): Last weekend, I decided to punish myself by adding another game to my pile of unplayed games. That that game was Dark Souls is, perhaps, a little unsettling.

  • David Hinkle (@DaveHinkle): I'm gonna wrap up Raam's Shadow and reminisce about the brief period of time I was able to play DOA 5 earlier this week.

  • Griffin McElroy (@griffinmcelroy): [...]

  • JC Fletcher (@jcfletcher): I don't think I'm going to have enough time this weekend to play any -- whoop, Mario Kart break

  • Jess Conditt (@JessConditt): Skyward Sword. Because my right arm needs a workout.

  • Jordan Mallory (@Jordan_Mallory): Still trying to level up in UMvC3, X-23/Iron Fist/Akuma is doing alright but X-23's low health pool may make her unviable as a point character.

  • Justin McElroy (@JustinMcElroy): [...]

  • Ludwig Kietzmann (@LudwigK): I haven't collected all the thingies in Skyward Sword yet. I may, in fact, take a break to collect some of the whatsits in Rayman Origins.

  • Mike Schramm (@MikeSchramm): I'm playing Assassin's Creed Brotherhood and Deus Ex: Human Revolution on my iPad. This is the future! It's also the mid '90s, because I've just started playing with actual Magic: The Gathering cards for the first time, too.

  • Richard Mitchell (@SenseiRAM): Let's see. Catherine, Modern Warfare 3, Skyrim, Trine 2, Sonic Generations. That's probably enough.

  • Steven Wong: Still hours into Skyrim with no end in sight, but I'm leaning more toward Batman Arkham City now that the DX11 patch is out. I'll also be checking out the Killing Floor holiday event with friends, because nothing quite brings out the holiday cheer like shooting monsters in the head.
