WRUP: Final Jeopardy!

Every week, just at the start of the weekend, we catch up with the WoW Insider staff and ask them, "What are you playing this week?" -- otherwise known as: WRUP. Join us to see what we're up to in and out of game, and catch us in the comments to let us know what you're playing, too!

I know how it is. All week long, you've been workin' for the weekend. You want a new romance. You're going off the deep end. You need a second chance. Well, don't worry. We've been looking to see if it was you. We've been wanting you to come through. We're hoping it will all work out. We've been waiting for you to hold out. I have no idea what any of the above means -- but man, was it catchy when Loverboy said it.

Anyway, it's time for WRUP, the magical part of that weekend you've been workin' for. Our writers are just itching to tell you what games they're sitting down to play this weekend. What's that? You want to be a part of the show? Well, c'mon baby, let's go. Feel free to share with us what you're playing, too.

It's not a true WRUP without a bonus question, so this week's category is ... [20TH-CENTURY LITERATURE]. Think about that and write down your wager. We'll be back with the question right after this.

The Final Jeopardy! category is 20th-Century Literature. Here is the clue:

Written in 1934, this autobiographical novel about the "disease of civilization" was banned in the United States until 1964.

Players, good luck.

Adam Holisky (@adamholisky) I'll be in the beta this weekend, dreaming of how awesome it'll be to have a pandaren monk riding around on an original ZA Amani War Bear. I'll also be down in Minneapolis, as Katie auditions for the Minnesota Opera chorus and we get our engagement pictures taken. Tonight I'll be going to Mancini's tonight for dinner, which is supposed to be the best steakhouse in Twin Cities, according to my parents. I'll wager one dollar more than whatever the lady next to me bid.

Alex Ziebart (@alexziebart) For some reason, I picked up Legend of Grimrock. It's only $15 -- why the heck not? I quickly discovered I am absolutely awful at it. I wager $1,999.

Allison Robert (@AllisonRobert) There will be Avengers. And then there will be housecleaning. And then, perhaps, there will be beta.

Anne Stickney (@Shadesogrey) This weekend is devoted to hanging with the family and fiddling around in the beta to see what there is to see. 20th-Century Literature? Oh hell, Alex, you know I'm all in with $7k.

Chase Hasbrouck (@alarondruid) (@alaronmonk) Lots of things planned this weekend; more fun with Monks, some Darkmoon Faire, and thanks to Daniel's timely tweet, a copy of Bastion for six bucks. Bonus: Who is John Galt?

Dan Desmond (@antigen_) I'm going to see The Avengers as well, though outside of that I'm still pushing my Alliance paladin ever onward. The fact that I hit 73 in Borean Tundra alone with no heirlooms makes me giggle. Due to the fact that I actually have a few tomes of 20th century literature that I use as doorstops and bookshelf fodder, I think I'm going to bet about $15.">I'm going to see The Avengers as well, though outside of that I'm still pushing my Alliance paladin ever onward. Fox Van Allen (@foxvanallen) Cinco de Mayo barbeque with the dummykin. As for the bonus wager, I'm betting all the money I have. But only because I have an inside edge on the correct answer (question?) having been the one who wrote the clue.

Joe Perez (@lodurjz) Reading, writing for sure, I've been neglecting both sadly. Walking Dead game, Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet, and if it will let me on for more than three minutes, Mists beta. Also, I plan on drawing some more on the iPad. I've been having a lot of fun with it and even drew me a Yordle the other day. I may not be the greatest artist, but I have fun with it at least. Bonus: All in! Go big or go home right?

Josh Myers (@PostColloquial) I started my new full-time job this week, and I'm working straight through the weekend. No fun and games for me until Tuesday. As for the bonus questions, I'm going to put $4,953 toward "Valperga."

Mathew McCurley (@gomatgo) I think that this weekend I have had everything planned out for me. I don't have control over my weekend. Ask me in a few days what I did. $3,000 for 20th-century American Lit.

Matt Rossi Things That Never Were was 20th-century literature. (Most of the stuff in it was written in the 20th century, anyway.) I'm wagering that people should buy it.

Megan O'Neill (@slowpoker) Mists beta, on both warlock (to 88) and trying to see if my bear druid can reach 86 (maybe 87, if I'm feeling lucky) without the world server going down every few minutes. Bonus: $100. I might remember something.

Michael Gray (@writegray) I'm busy as hell this weekend. On Saturday, I'm going to the Spoutwood Faerie Festval. I'll be wearing the black utilikilt and a white shirt -- if any WoW Insider readers are there, totally come by and say hello. It's going to be an awesome time. On Sunday, I'm hitting the Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival to grab some organic fleece for the upcoming baby, and some wool for awesome projects. Outside of those things, what's up beta. Literature: I'll go a reasonable $50 bucks. 20th century is, in fact, my weak spot.

Olivia Grace (@oliviadgrace) Probably splitting my gaming time between Arena Pass and beta and trying to persuade Blackhorn to give my shammy that damn healing shield on Sunday night. Tomorrow, I'm helping the animal shelter I volunteer at with a video, so might be a bit tired saturday night! Of course, this is a three-day weekend for the U.K., so maybe I'll play MediEvil on Monday! I have literally no comprehension of the bonus. Everyone else seems to be saying sums of money sooooooo $3.50?

Robin Torres (@cosmicgeek) Avengers. That's all I have to say about that. Bonus: My wager is $Texas.

The weekend is the perfect time to kick back, relax and enjoy some game time. Are you an achievement junkie? Can't get enough raiding? Rolling a new alt? Considering taking the leap into roleplaying? Whatever your favorite way to play World of Warcraft, let us know in the comments what you're playing this weekend!
