NintendoWare Weekly: Prince of Persia

The SNES version of Prince of Persia arrives on the Virtual Console in North America. We'd forgotten this was happening in the interim between the December ESRB rating and today, so this is, like every Wii Virtual Console release, a pleasant and unexpected surprise.

Speaking of surprises, DSiWare's Crazy Hunter is about a crocodile building a goat tower to reach the sky, in order to capture hens who lay golden eggs. It gets weirder from there, actually.

Wii

• Prince of Persia (SNES, 1 player, 800 Wii Points): Before all the time travel stuff, it was just a simple story of a man running and climbing through a prison, fighting skeleton men and drinking potions he finds inside the ceiling.

3DS eShop

• Balloon Pop Remix (UFO Interactive, 1 player, $7.99): Draw lines to pop balloons and create chain reactions.

• Heyawake by Nikoli (Hamster Corporation, 1-4 players, $7.99): Number puzzles in which the numbers are divided into "rooms."

DSiWare

• Crazy Hunter (EnjoyUp, 1 player, $4.99/500 DSi Points): This is a game in which you drive a boat to knock goats off of platforms, fish them out of the river, and then stack them to make a tower. Of goats.
