In Guild Wars 2, an account is allowed to join multiple guilds on multiple servers. This allows you to play with different groups of friends by switching your guild representation on the fly. Want to join a guild with your best friend from high school? Want to join a guild made up of people who also read your favorite MMO news site? It's all possible.
