Ghostbusters game from Capcom's Beeline available now

Ghostbusters game

Capcom's Beeline Interactive has launched its freemium Ghostbusters game on the App Store for iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch.

Unlike Beeline's Smurfs' Village and Snoopy Street Fair, which were similar town-management games, Ghostbusters is more of a tycoon game. Players build their Ghostbusters franchise up and out from the iconic firehouse headquarters.

Players can either earn their way toward franchise expansion, or, you know, since this is a freemium game, an unmarked little envelope of cash under the virtual bathroom stall never hurt either.%Gallery-172733%

BEELINE™ INTERACTIVE, INC. AND SONY PICTURES CONSUMER PRODUCTS LAUNCH GHOSTBUSTERS® GAME FOR IOS

LOS ANGELES, CA – January 24, 2013– Beeline™ Interactive, Inc, a leading developer and publisher of social smartphone games, and Sony Pictures Consumer Products today announced their new "Ghostbusters" App for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch is now available on the App Store.

Based on the beloved Ghostbusters film series, the game puts players in charge of their own Ghostbusters franchise. From their firehouse headquarters, players will send their team of spook slayers out into New York City to stop troublemaking spirits in their tracks. They'll also make their way up floor after floor of a haunted tower, which has been overtaken by an evil deity.

High-powered proton packs and spirit traps in hand, players will earn rewards as they successfully slime their way through barriers and trap harassing haunts, which they can store in their containment units for later experimentation. Back at headquarters, players can conduct research to upgrade their equipment and improve their chances of victory.

With bigger and better gear, busters will earn larger rewards, allowing them to expand their operations, explore more of the city, and bust even badder ghosts. Players can also hire new recruits ready to help rid the city of every single spook, spirit, and specter. All free-roaming phantasms best beware, because their days of scaring the wits out of innocent New Yorkers are numbered. There's a new Ghostbusters team in town, and a whole bunch of spooks are about to get nuked.

"Ghostbusters" is the newest addition to Beeline's growing library of freemium mobile games which has included "Smurfs'™ Village," "Snoopy's® Street Fair," "Monster Pet Shop™," and "Zombie Cafe™" to name a few. Smurfs' Village has ranked as the number one top-grossing app in 79 countries and consistently ranks as a top-ten grossing app worldwide on Apple's App store. "Smurfs' Village" regularly maintains a user review rating of 4 1/2 stars or higher on the U.S. App Store.
