Cannon Brawl, from indie Turtle Sandbox Games, is expected to launch this June on Steam, according to studio founder Peter Angstadt. An Xbox version is still planned, but there's been no announcement of a release window. Angstadt tells us he would also love to get on the increasingly indie-friendly Sony platforms.
Angstadt and artist Theresa Duringer founded Turtle Sandbox after winning the Activision Independent Games Competition with Dstroyd, which has since evolved into Cannon Brawl.
We had the opportunity to try the game at an indie showcase last night and it's a great co-op experience of Worms meets Rampart. Try it out for yourself by downloading the alpha, but it may be best to just wait for the full game now. Did we mention it was fun? It really was.
