WRUP: Achoo! edition

WRUP Achoo! edition

How's those allergies treating you? Here in lovely Washington, DC, the cherry trees blossomed for an entire half hour or so before impending storms threatened to whip away every flower. In the meantime, though, allergies are thick enough that I'm pretty sure the Sha of Allergies is lurking around the corner.

Our bonus question this week: How do you feel about the pace of the expansion so far? It seems to be going pretty well, and it feels right. I mean, dailies, blah blah, but the content patches seem pretty swift.

Anne Stickney (@Shadesogrey) No allergies here, although we had a cold snap day before yesterday that dropped the temperature down to about 23 degrees overnight. BRR. This weekend's going to be more writing, and more testing things on the PTR. My server's done unlocking the entire island now. I'm wondering if I should continue doing the dailies or not anyway, just because honestly I really liked this round. Bonus Answer: I love the fast pace. I love feeling like I'm never going to run out of things to do. It's so many light years better than Cataclysm that there's really no comparison, honestly.

Chase Hasbrouck (@alarondruid, @alaronmonk) Normally, I'm a seasonal allergy-type of guy, but things haven't been too bad so far this year. Currently splitting time between finishing up the pet battle questlines (Clockwork Gnome is my stand-by) and playing Bioshock Infinite. As for the pace of MoP...seems a lot better to me. I haven't had a point so far where I thought "well, done for now, no reason to login," and I hit that point in late WOTLK and early Cataclysm. The real test is going to be how long it takes to get from the completion of the 5.x storyline to a new expansion pack being released, though.

Dan Desmond (@Antigen_) As long as I don't go around getting stung by bees with raspberry-coated stingers, allergies got nothing on me.

This weekend I think I'll finally be forging into Bioshock Infinite. It's been tough avoiding the spoilers, but I've managed to get by.

The pace of the expansion's patches seems to be alright. It's making me want to get back into raiding, but I'd likely get tired of my very picky guild search criteria and go do something else.

Daniel Whitcomb (@danielwhitcomb) I spend 3/4ths of the year unable to smell much because of constant allergies. I'm only completely miserable one or two months out of the year though, so I get along alright. As far as games this week, I got Council Operative on ME3MP, so now I'm focusing on Gunslinger. Gotta get all the cool banners and titles, just like in WoW! In WoW, I want to gear my Hunter up for Raid Finder.

I like the pace of the patches. I got beef with some of the content, sure, but the patches are quicker and don't seem to be much less meaty than they were before, and I approve of that.

Dawn Moore (@dawnwow) I'll only be raiding this weekend, as far as videogames go. Otherwise I'll just be spring cleaning and working. Bonus question: Since I'm no longer in a hardcore guild, I'm not playing as much as I used to. As such, I feel like there isn't enough time to get everything done from patch to patch. Tier 15 is probably the hardest tier we've seen since Ulduar and it's proved to be pretty challenging for my new, little guild. If we finish the tier before 5.4, I'll be surprised. That said, all my friends who still play hardcore love the fast pace. I think it's probably good for everyone, even if I feel rushed.

Elizabeth Harper (@Faience) I seem to be behind on everything, so unless I do some huge catching up over the next 24 hours, I'll be spending the weekend working more than WoWing. And boo allergies; mine have gone nuts this month. *sneezes*

Elizabeth Wachowski (@leeatwaterlives) Skyrim and Dishonored. My husband just finished the new Tomb Raider and loved it, so does anyone have any suggestions for good third-person adventure games in that line for the 360? He can't do FPS.

Joe Perez (@lodurzj) Allergies cannot touch me this year, I upgraded my defense! NO CRITICAL ALLERGY HITS! also going to spend my weekend working on a painting commission for a friend, leveling my alt monk up to at least Cataclysm level stuff, and working on my warlock just a little bit.

As for the pace of the expansion, I think it's awesome. Raid content seems evenly placed so far, Each update they're doing something new and awesome even if it's not new dungeons there's still a lot to do and see and it expands every content update. Also the evolving story is awesome, and paced well, especially when compared to the other expansions.

Kristin Marshall (@kristin) I don't usually suffer from allergies, but after heavy storming this week followed by crazy wind, I'm feeling it. It's as if every bit of pollen has been blown off of every flower and tree in the universe. And put right into my eyeballs.

My guild just downed heroic Jin'rokh, so we'll be working on other heroic-mode bosses with this weekend... we'll see how it goes! As for MoP's pace, eh, I have a love-hate relationship with it. Initially, I hated how quickly content was being released, but now I'm happy with it. Coming from snail-paced patch releases, it's a nice change.

Matthew Rossi (@MatthewWRossi) Well, my guild just steamrolled Primordius and Dark Animus so... I guess we'll be doing doggy boss this weekend.

This expansion's pace seems a bit hectic, but I'm happy with it.

Olivia Grace (@oliviadgrace) I am blessed when it comes to allergies. Apart from a mild cat allergy, and a severe mollusc allergy, I don't suffer at all. No hayfever, no nothing. Which, considering I live in a tiny cottage surrounded by canola fields, is a very good thing. This weekend, I'll probably be hanging out on the PTR in a queue for the new battleground. I've probably spent ten hours queueing for it so far, and as I write this I'm an hour in to my latest attempt. Other than that, some spring cleaning, some gearing of alts. I really want to get my fire mage up and geared for PvP, I loved fire PvP in cata.

Pace-wise, I was really flung into a funk by 5.0 and 5.1, but with the way it's worked out, I'm happy in 5.2. It's way more viable, accidentally or otherwise, to grind out points for gear, or maybe it just seems better because of my burning hatred for quests, daily or otherwise. My mage went from 85-90 just through killing rares and doing 5-man dungeons and BGs, and had a blast. I'm looking forward to 5.3, just because of the huge pvp changes, but it still feels like a bit of a whistle-stop tour. I kind of think I'd like them to slow down just a tiny bit.

Sarah Pine (@ilaniel) I don't have any known allergies, so booyah for that. I get a tiny bit sniffly this time of year but eh. This weekend I'll be playing WoW and housecleaning. As for the pace of the expansion, well, I DO kind of laugh everytime a pandaren NPC tells me to slow down, because Blizzard doesn't seem to have taken their advice!

The weekend is the perfect time to kick back, relax and enjoy some game time. Are you an achievement junkie? Can't get enough raiding? Rolling a new alt? Considering taking the leap into roleplaying? Whatever your favorite way to play World of Warcraft, let us know in the comments what you're playing this weekend!
