The Queue: Brunch

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Anne Stickney (@Shadesogrey) has been making Sunday Brunch a thing since forever.

My mother started doing big breakfasts on Sunday when I was a kid. She eventually moved it later and later, until it became brunches on Sunday instead. It became such a habit that my dad and I still continue to do Sunday brunches -- usually pancakes. Pancakes are awesome.

As for the video above, I don't speak French and I have no idea what they're saying. But man, the food looks pretty good, doesn't it?

runnerpadilla asked:

If pandaren could become druids, what animal would their flight form be?

I don't know! Maybe a little cloud serpent? To be perfectly honest, most druids use some form of crow -- the reason trolls don't is because the Darkspear don't approve of bird worship. It's not a troll thing, it's a Darkspear thing. So a pandaren learning to be a druid would likely be some kind of bird, if they were learning druidism from the Cenarion Circle. The trolls and their choice of flight form is an odd exception to what is a pretty general rule.

HemttTanker asked:

QftQ I recently did a paid character server transfer and it seemed like the process is entirely automated now. Is there any cost justification for the high prices charged for character services like this now?

It was never a matter of how much physical work someone had to put into the process. The reason there is a charge for server transfers is so that people don't blindly hop from server to server with no consequence. Of course, back in vanilla players rarely had a whole stable of alts to move -- and most players were accustomed to simply re-rolling on a different server if they wanted to server swap. People didn't exactly have a lot of alts, either, just because it was much more difficult to level back then. I'd love to see it switched so that you could pay to move all of your characters, instead of just one at a time!

Domehammer asked:

Question: Do you think we will ever get tabards and now shirts (thanks brawler's guild) to get there own inventory? Similar to how we learn pets and mounts now?

It's one of those things they've said they'd like to do, but it's not something we've heard anything about beyond that. Stuff like that takes a lot of time to put together and implement.

Jimmy asked:

Q4tQ: Did they remove the epic PvP trinkets of the rares in Krazarang Wilds. I just killed all 3 of them for the first time on my alt and none of them drop any of the trinkets.

It's not a 100% drop rate on the trinkets -- I've killed the rares plenty of times and never seen the trinkets drop before.

Drindaar_Lightkeeper asked:

Q for the Queue x2: 1. Why are Worgen and goblins allowed to be Dk's? Weren't the worgen behind a giant wall and the bilgwater cartel goblins chillin in the south seas? What is the lore behind this? If there is no lore reason does this mean we can expect to see any race be any class in the future?

2. What are the chances of seeing and ranged dps class added next expansion? so far we've gotten tanks, melee dps and a healer in new classes, but no ranged dps. What about a dragon themes class especially now that dragons arent gods anymore.

For your first question, I've actually written an article explaining exactly how they came to be! The short answer is that those goblins and worgen weren't behind the wall or down on Kezan. For a lengthier explanation, check out the article. For your second question, I don't know if they're actually going to add a new class at this point. So far, we've gotten a new class every other expansion. Adding a new class means balancing it all in with existing classes. It's kind of a pain to do correctly, because it's not just a matter of throwing a new class together and plunking it into the game -- you have to balance all the other classes around it as well. So it's a major undertaking.

BlazeNor asked:

Question for the Queue: Do you believe the role (Tank, DPS or Healer) a person chooses for their character is connected to their personality? For instance, a Type A personality might roll a tank over others or a Type B would pick a healer role. (of course I could be way base with this one)

I don't think so. But then I originally rolled as a healer in vanilla, and switched to DPS in Burning Crusade -- never looked back. I didn't really want to be a healer to begin with, our guild just happened to need more of them, so I figured I'd help out. I suppose that says something about my personality, but I guess we'd get a wider range of answers if we polled the audience. So hey! Audience! Pipe up in the comments and let us know why you chose the role you chose!
