The Stream Team: Heat wave edition, July 22 - 28, 2013

The Stream Team July 22 28, 2013
What's hotter than standing in the way of a fire-breathing dragon's sneeze? Right now, my town! I didn't want to turn the stove on last night and chance my place spontaneously combusting from the extra heat, so I went outside and fried up an omelet on the sidewalk. I had to be quick about it, too, so it didn't burn!

Now I can understand that some people actually like the sun, but when your shoes melt between the house and the car, you know it's time to stay indoors for a bit. So that's what I am going to do. Instead of going back out in that insanity some call summer, I am just going to sit back and enjoy some cool Stream Team shows on Massively TV this week. Care to join me?

Reruns
By far, the best way to beat the sweltering heat is to completely shun that thing called "outdoors." All the cool kids will be inside, catching up on last week's Stream Team adventures while sipping a cold, refreshing drink. You do want to be a cool kid, right? Highlight Reel
Heat can make people do strange things. And one of those strange things is making a brand-new character and starting over in a game, which is exactly what happened in this week's highlight:

Join this Stream Team member as she experiences life from the perspective of a newly made Warlock.

Outtakes
Air conditioning is really my only answer to a blistering heat wave; my computer and I camp out right in front of the unit and hoard all the frosty air for ourselves. But interestingly, I also found that I was gravitating more toward zones in games that were covered in snow and ice. A subconscious attempt at put myself in a cooler frame of mind, perhaps? Whether it worked or not, I cannot say, but it certainly didn't hurt any.

The subconscious can be interesting indeed, leading us about and making decisions without us even really thinking about them. How about you, Massively readers -- have you ever noticed that your gaming (or game, for that matter) has been influenced by external cues like the weather without any conscious thought on your part?%Poll-83617%
