One Shots: Ms. Rasa 2217
Sometimes some of you readers are actually crazy enough to respond to my weekly screenshot challenges for who knows what reason. Reader Joe got all excited when I put out a call for "pin-up" pictures and sent me a trio of his characters from the near-future (and dead past). I thought this one was the most striking.
"Here's Tabula Rasa proving that you don't need to show a lot of skin to look good in armor," Joe wrote. "That's right, Jyo, you work that incendiary injector gun!"
Will our kids learn about Tabula Rasa on the History channel some day? I can only imagine. Other amazing player shots await you in this week's column!
Michelle, an avid roleplayer, sent us in this picture and in-character letter from The Secret World:
"I've recently learned of your photography column for adventurers, and after perusing the archives, I thought it'd be fun to contribute something of my own. My travels have taken me to some amazing places. Take this vista in Egypt, for example, where I'm doing my best Lara Croft pose. It's the perfect ending to a day packed with exterminating cultists and filth-infected monstrosities -- and I'm still ready for more. Yeah, I'll win a duel against the moon, no problem!"
Like many of you, reader Prantik is still on a sightseeing cruise around Tyria in Guild Wars 2. How many gigs of hard drive space in the world are now holding screenshots from this game? Like eight on my computer alone, so I can't imagine.
"This is Rata Sum, capital of the Asuran race," he said. "It looks good during the daytime, but nighttime is when the architecture of the city stands out."
Otherwise known as Rata Sum, capital of the only race that matters one whit in the game. Oh yes, you now know where my allegiances lie.
So if that's on top of Rata Sum, what's below? Here's reader James taking a deep diving expedition below the city, where he encounters a whale and then tries to communicate with it by "speaking whale" even though we told him that that was just in a movie and it was a comedic device and even though some of the fish were talking it didn't mean all of the fish were talking and oh aren't you so excited about Finding Dory? I know I am.
Steel yourself! Incoming screenshot challenge for this week: vehicles! That's right, we want pictures of your spaceships, your scooters, your cars, your motorcycles, your Chitty-Chitty-Bang-Bangs, and pretty much any mount that doesn't have lungs or poops. Send 'em in!
