Not to get all Lutece on the topic, but there is an argument to be made that in a parallel plane of existence, Half-Life 3 was announced earlier today. Of course, if that happened, then you wouldn't have a Steam controller to play it on in 2016. A mouse and keyboard, you say? Don't be pedestrian.
What's everyone playing this weekend?
Alexander Sliwinski (@Sliwinski): If I can break away from studying for a finance exam, maybe I can finally get around to Dead Space 3? I have been thinking about Battlefield 3 on PC.
Danny Cowan (@Sardoose): Wind Waker HD, mostly. I'll have a peek at the Wii U's eShop and might pick up some stuff from there too. I hear Funky Barn's pretty sweet.
David Hinkle (@DaveHinkle): Now that I've finished GTA 5 and can forget about it until October 1, I'm anxious to log back into Saints Row 4 and rob me some more banks in Payday 2.
Earnest Cavalli (@Ecavalli): Between The Wonderful 101 and Scribblenauts Unmasked my weekend is all about dudes in spandex.
Sinan Kubba (@SinanKubba): No time for games, since selfish best friends want to selfishly get married all selfish weekend long. At least it's not like I'm missing out on any big games that have released recently.
Sophie Prell (@SophieJKL): League of Legends (so close to 30 I can taste it!) and tabletop roleplaying with my friends who are back in town for the weekend.
Susan Arendt (@SusanArendt):I'll be playing the "try not to yelp like a small dog" as I run from monsters at Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios. On the plane, I'll be indulging in Plants vs. Zombies 2. Seriously, those birds that steal your plants? Hate them. Haaaate them.
Thomas Schulenberg (@Lavapotamus):I'll earn some more Lucky Cards in Rayman Legends, because scratching imaginary, guaranteed-win lottery tickets is kind of addicting. Oh, the game's also really fun.
