WWII's Pacific Theater sets the stage for Sid Meier's Ace Patrol: Pacific Skies
Firaxis Games is preparing to launch a follow-up to Sid Meier's turn-based mobile darling, Sid Meier's Ace Patrol.
Set within the Pacific Theater during World War II, Sid Meier's Ace Patrol: Pacific Skies recreates historical battles at Pearl Harbor, Midway and Guadalcanal as players create a pilot and nurture their rise in ranks. Pacific Skies will support iPad 2 and up, iPad mini, iPod touch 4 and up, and iPhone 4S and up on iOS devices. The PC version will be available for download through Steam.
Sid Meier's Ace Patrol: Pacific Skies launches this fall. 2K Games has not announced price, but the press release pass the break calls it a "premium" game so adjust your expectations accordingly.

New York, NY – October 21, 2013 – 2K and Firaxis Games today announced that Sid Meier's Ace Patrol: Pacific Skies, the sequel to the critically-acclaimed strategy title Sid Meier's Ace Patrol, will be launching on Steam and the App Store this fall as a premium game for Windows PC, iPad, iPhone and iPod touch*.
Sid Meier's Ace Patrol: Pacific Skies transports strategy fans to the treacherous skies of the Pacific Ocean theater of World War II. The game features the ability to personalize and advance your pilot profile and aircraft while embarking on a wide variety of missions, as well as unlocking special skill sets, upgrades and maneuvers. Players can also choose to pilot some of the most iconic American and Japanese fighter planes from the army or navy's aviation units, while completing quests that take them through various historical battles such as Pearl Harbor, Midway and Guadalcanal.
Sid Meier's Ace Patrol: Pacific Skies is part of a series of downloadable titles designed by legendary game designer Sid Meier exclusively for PC and iOS devices.
