The Queue: Buffalo birthday

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Mike Sacco will be your host today.

It's commenter Buffalo's birthday, and as is Queue tradition, we wish him a happy one today.

Whiteout asked:

Do you think we will ever see further exploration of the elementals and their lords? We killed Ragnaros and Al'akir within their own plane, permanently ending them, so wouldn't another, suitably powerful, elemental step in to fill the void? I think it would be neat to come across the new Lord/Lady of Fire or Air, possibly assisting them in their attempt to cement their rule, or defying their bid for dominance.

Plus, Neptulon is still circling the drain.

I wouldn't expect news of a new Elemental Lord any time soon. Cataclysm was sort of the Elemental Expansion and it's likely going to take millennia for an elemental to rise where Ragnaros and Al'Akir fell. Besides, we killed pretty much all the big-name elemental lieutenants, too.

Arthonos asked:

With all the talk about homogenization between classes, and even between specs (I'm looking at you Rogues / Hunters), do you think Blizzard would have been better off designing WoW from the ground up with each class having at least 1 utility spec? Seems to me like trying to keep 3 specs (Or even two sometimes) that fulfill the same roll unique while still adhering to the "Bring the player, not the class" mantra is causing quite the headache.

If Blizzard was redesigning WoW from the ground up I'm sure they wouldn't have pure DPS classes, but I'm also pretty sure they'd shy away from the "holy trinity" altogether. The devs have mentioned this before. I'd love to have non-DPS options for the pure classes, personally. Rogue healer? Rogue tank? Hunter tank (this is a no-brainer)?

Zebu asked:

On my moon kick again- The Pale Lady. Is that what we see above Draenor from the ingame screenshot of what becomes The Black Temple? It looks like it has oceans.

I know it cannot be Azeroth that we see in BT- that is because of the whole Twisting Nether stuff.

I just love exploring and the game hopefully will keep giving us these new places to go to.

It actually is Azeroth, so far as we know. Thanks to the Twisting Nether, Illidan is peeking at his old home through a dimensional hole. I still want to go to one or both of our moons, though. Wasn't that an EverQuest expansion?
