The Darkmoon Faire is back in town for the first week of January. Ordinarily I wouldn't be paying any attention to it, except for two very important things. First, the reputation buff from the Darkmoon Carousel that should help boost my reputation gain with the August Celestials for my alt. It's not much of a reputation gain, but hey, any little bit helps. Second, I'm still after that pesky Darkmoon Eye pet. Jeremy Feasel has to give up that thing at some point, right?

Other than that, I don't really have much of a reason to go to the mysterious Darkmoon Island. Moonfang was an interesting diversion until I got all the stuff I needed from her, and I don't really need any of the other toys, pets, hats or what have you from the Faire itself. I'm sort of wistfully hoping we'll see some kind of story update to the island at some point in the future -- those strange ghosts are still on the island with no explanation, after all. It would be neat to see something further done with them.

But I do wonder, now that the flurry of excitement surrounding Moonfang has died down a bit -- do you still go to the Darkmoon Faire? Are there still things left there for you to do? Have you already hunted down all the achievements, or are you not really interested in getting them? Are you happily hunting Moonfang and the Darkmoon Rabbit, or are they things you really don't want to be bothered with? And if you aren't visiting the Faire anymore, what would bring you back to it?
