The Queue: Of sharks and trolls

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Alex Ziebart will be your host today.

Happy Monday morning, ladies and gentlemen!

@poopsiekins2010 asked:

when will Orgrimmar be updated with the new Warchief?

It's one of the first things we'll check in Warlords of Draenor! I expect it's something they'll do in patch 6.0. As an unrelated note, I came very close to skipping your question because I read your name as "poopieskins" and that was gross.

Erik4 asked:

I see in a lot of responses from WoW Insider staff that you guys mostly defend Blizzard and the game when people bash it in one form or another. That's not a bad thing at all, just to be clear. So, I would like to know what in the game you are NOT happy about. What is a part of the current build that just ruffles your feathers, or something you are hearing about that make you made. You get where I am going with this.

You know, it's funny -- half of the time, people think we're Blizzard apologists. The other half of the time, we're accused of being trolls that hate the game. If we're getting both accusations, I think we're in a pretty good place, because it means we have our own opinions and are willing to voice them.

I have two central hangups right now -- one of them that whole thing about how Blizzard writes/handles women. We've hit that topic pretty recently so I won't go into it, but let's just say I'm waiting to get my hands on Warlords and see what it's necessary that Yrel be a pre-existing character's love interest rather than being given a story of her own. Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised, but my gut doesn't feel good about it after all else.

The other pet issue of mine is Blizzard's release schedule where World of Warcraft is concerned. That, too, has been discussed to death, but I still consider it an issue. They seemed to have been doing well with Mists of Pandaria's content patches, all of them came quite rapidly. Now that Warlords is taking so long, though, hindsight makes us wish they'd been better spaced. At this stage in the game, that feels a bit silly. Warlords shouldn't be such a long wait.

Xerianne asked:

When did they change the level of the sharks in SW Harbor from 85 down to 15?

They weren't even 85 for the entirety of Cataclysm, it was changed midway through the expansion. Since the cooking dailies in Stormwind were available to characters of all levels, seeding the questing area with level 85 sharks wasn't a great idea. Low level characters would get slaughtered without the help of someone higher level.
