Weekly Webcomic Wrapup is hunting for Easter eggs

Last week, I made a huge mistake. It was the weekend of Easter, and I asked you what your favorite candy was instead of the much better tie-in question, "What are your favorite Easter eggs in gaming?" I failed you, but I hope you're willing to look past that. After all, it was you, the readers, who helped me see the error of my ways, and now I'm here to right what was wrong. So let's get started, shall we?

I'm not sure I could pick a favorite Easter egg out of all that I've experienced in gaming, so I'll just go with the only ones that I purposefully seek out: the Easter eggs of the Halo games. When I saw the Legendary ending of Halo: Combat Evolved, I was giddy. I wasn't expecting it and, being fairly young at the time, I don't recall discovering any Easter eggs prior to it. Watching Johnson and an Elite tenderly embrace at what they thought would be their end will always stick out in my mind, and it inspired me to search for all the hidden jokes and references in the Halo series. Another one of my favorites: the subtle change from a marine yelling "we've got trouble" to "we've got trouble, right here in River City!" But then, I'm a sucker for musicals.

So tell me, reader, what are you favorite/most memorable Easter eggs in gaming? Tell your story in the comments below, after checking out this week's selection of webcomics.
