Apple adds affordable $1099 model to its iMac lineup
The Apple Store went down last night and returned today with a new, affordable 21.5-inch iMac model with a US$1099 price tag. The new entry-level iMac features a 1.4GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM, 500GB hard drive and Intel HD Graphics 5000.
You can check out the full specs at Apple's website and order one online now via Apple's online store. Standard iMac models also are available for immediate purchase at your local Apple retail store.

The new 21.5-inch iMac features a 1.4 GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor with Turbo Boost Speeds up to 2.7 GHz, Intel HD 5000 graphics, 8GB of memory and a 500GB hard drive. All iMac models include next generation 802.11ac Wi-Fi, and two Thunderbolt ports and four USB 3.0 ports for excellent expandability and support for high-performance peripherals.
