The Queue: How creepy

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Alex Ziebart will be your host today.

Those cyclops critters always freak me out a little bit. They look so happy. Therefore, I find being happy creepy, I guess?

@AeroCross asked:

Do you think there's going to be a WoD version of the Timeless (aka Loot) Isle sometime in the future? How would that work?

While I don't think we'll get a locale with the exact same mechanics, I'm sure we'll see something similar. We know that in content patches we're going to see Farahlon, the rest of Tanaan, and I believe an ogre island of some sort. They're all aimed at level 100 gameplay, so we can probably expect similarities to the Timeless Isle in at least one of those, if not elements of it in all of them.

itsdeeps asked:

does anyone think that maybe, just maybe, all the complaints about Karabor and Bladespire might spur Blizzard to make a change that they've never done before and shift us to them as capitals later?

I think it's highly unlikely. Since Dalaran, it seems to me that new faction hubs is a very low priority for them -- they're necessary, but they're not interested in people spending a whole lot of time in them. I'll admit that it may be only my perception that says that. I really didn't like the Shrines in Mists of Pandaria, for example, but that doesn't mean they didn't invest a lot of time into creating the shrines. It just didn't feel like they did due to my general dislike.

At this point, it's probably time we accept that we aren't getting Karabor and Bladespire. That fact disappoints me, but the expansion still needs to release sometime soon. If it was going to happen, they would've had to start development on it months ago. Once the expansion launches, they're going to turn their sights towards new quests, dungeons, raids, and so forth.

alpha5099 asked:

Do the Orcs have a racial leader now? Up until now, with the Orc leader and the Warchief being occupied by the same individual, it hasn't been an issue. But with a troll as Warchief, who is the head Orc? Is it Thrall, or is he too busy in Draenor? Has another Orc stepped up to be their leader?

Thrall appears to be filling that role in Warlords of Draenor. Removing him from the position of Warchief is letting him be on the front lines again it seems. His supposed neutrality from Cataclysm certainly didn't last long!

@Ionizedadam asked:

Why is melee dps so much more satisfying than ranged dps?

That's mighty subjective! You just enjoy melee DPS more than ranged. Some people find ranged DPS far more satisfying. Personally, while rogue gameplay is my favorite, I don't find the actual combat satisfying in some situations. While questing, I love it. In a raid, it feels silly. I'm flailing wildly against some dude's ankle to seemingly little effect in a raid situation. Not very satisfying. However, smashing a fireball into a massive raid boss's face is very satisfying, even if I don't actually like how mages play.

@beardybone asked:

Any fun and time-intensive things to do before WoD drops? Got a lot of time over the summer to prepare for the carnage!

We're going to start working on an article (or series of articles) on what you can/should do before Warlords. Keep an eye out for it.
