When it launches next spring, Dead or Alive: Last Round - pinkie promise - is going to be the second re-release of Team Ninja's fighter to hit Xbox 360 and PS3. In fairness to DOA5, Street Fighter 4 is already up to three on that count.

As revealed over the weekend, the new version is also coming to PS4 and Xbox One where Team Ninja boss Yosuke Hayashi promises "the most graphically striking version of any Dead or Alive game ever." For returning players moving to PS4 and Xbox One, Koei Tecmo said previously bought DLC is transferable from last-gen consoles to the new ones.

Dead or Alive 5: Last Round (9/2/14)

As for the content that's new and exclusive to Last Round, so far Team Ninja's confirmed more characters - a press release notes the largest roster of any DOA game ever. On the ever prolific costume side, the new edition features more than 300 "open and unlockable" outfits (it's not clear if "unlockable" refers to requiring purchase here, so we've checked in with Koei Tecmo to clarify that).

Finally, the prices: Last Round is $40 on PS4 and Xbox One, and on those platforms it's getting both a physical and download release. Meanwhile the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions are $30 and only available as a download. In the UK that's £35 and £25 respectively.
