One Shots: The sacred bosom dance

gw2

It's one thing to dance for the fun of it. But it's another thing entirely to dance to save lives. Apart from an exotic snake charmer who rescued me from a king cobra last year, I've never witnessed a boogie performed for someone's health. At least... not until now.

Reader Jesse kicks off today's community screenshots with this silly-yet-serious jig from Guild Wars 2: "I am submitting this screenshot of my character and a few friends celebrating Pink Day in Lions Arch in an effort to raise breast cancer awareness. Here we are dancing around (and on) a podium."

All she wants to do is... all she wants to do is dance, dance, dance! I wish that I was Jesse's girl! Now I'm dancing for my life!

The forcast for RIFT is rainy, but that's OK since this game has the best thunderheads and rainshadows that I've ever seen in an MMO. Plus, there are no baseball matches to ruin, so rain on!

"Here's a shot I got while going for leveling this week," reader David shares. "The character shown is my level 39 Bard Blackmill. I find that this game has some of my favorite art in the genre. The landscapes are gorgeous and ripe for exploration!"

This is Jake. Jake is definitely going to brag, and don't let him tell you otherwise.

"My name is Jake, but I go by Weakness or Weak in most online environments. Not to brag or anything, but it's a name I've earned."

See what I mean?

"Here is a screenshot from WildStar that I took while leveling my Spellslinger. While I may be a little green at combat in this game, it looks as if this new recruit needs to go back to basic training. I mean how do you tell someone he's not actually holding a weapon? 'Good form their Hank, but why don't we try it with the gun next time, eh?' Poor guy isn't going to make it long on Nexus. Heaven forbid he queue for a dungeon... his own faction will eat him alive!"

When I was a kid, to sport a rainbow on your clothing, Trapper Keeper, or backpack was seen as somewhat over-the-top. Like one or two colors wasn't good enough for you? You have to have them all? Go join the Care Bears, ya poser.

Today, the rainbow still hovers over the head of many care bears in Lord of the Rings Online, such as reader Chris, who shares, "Rainbow trout? More likely goldfish (or weeds). Here is my main, Velir, in festival clothes doing some fishing on the bridge near the fishing pond outside of Bywater on the bridge. It's been a fave of mine for many years."

Our screenshot challenge this week is to make the strangest, ugliest, or most unique-looking character and wing it on in. How bizarre can we get?
