WRUP: It's all about Garrisons

Diving in to Warlords of Draenor has meant diving in to garrisons in a big way. Though most of us have long since hit level 100, we're still working on perfecting our garrison design and unlocking all of those level 3 buildings. (Even dog, above, seems to be trying something new with his unconventional sitting style.) But over this holiday weekend, some of us have more free time than usual to dive into our favorite hobby, while for others the holidays means spending more time outside the game world. But it's not all about World of Warcraft, as Dragon Age's recent release has definitely lured away some of the team.

Want to know what we're playing this weekend -- and tell us what you're up to in game? Read on for more and feel free to leave us a comment!

Adam Koebel (@BendakWoW) I have plans on getting a second toon to 100 this weekend now that they're chock full of rested XP and garrison resources from AFKing in a garrison since launch. Combined with the 20% XP potions and HandyNotes, I don't anticipate it taking very long at all. My favorite building is the Stables. I've already got my "Stable Master" title and have all the mounts trained. Even though I'm technically done with everything, I'm still keeping the building. The mount perks are great and it's fun to see my favorite mounts hanging out in the garrison. I'm hopeful they'll add more training quests and/or achievements for the Stables in future patches.

Alex Ziebart (@AlexZiebart) This weekend, I'll be diving back into Dragon Age: Inquisition. Because holy cow, the game is awesome and packed with so much content it's kind of overwhelming. My WoW time will likely be spent doing dungeons so I can unlock my inn's level 3 upgrade, and polishing off the last of the Nat Pagle chain so I can get him as a follower. I'm also hoping I can get the last 20 pieces of salvage I need before I can upgrade my Salvage Yard to level 3, but accidentally unlocking ilevel 615 missions has made that slow going. I don't have enough ilevel 615 followers to have any hope of completing those yet.

Anne Stickney (@Shadesogrey) This weekend I'm going to continue leveling my shaman, and work on unlocking buildings on my rogue. I've almost got several level 3 blueprints, I'm hoping they all unlock over the next couple of days. I'm also going to probably try running more dungeons for that level 3 inn upgrade, but also for the legendary chain -- I'm behind! Need to get those cores!

Elizabeth Harper (@faience) I think I'm going to be shifting focus from WoW to Dragon Age: Inquisition for a while now that I've kind of hit the daily grind stage of things. I'm still trying to decide how to make the most of my garrison plots, though: I just replaced my much-hated barn with an inn, though I haven't entirely decided if I want to stick with it or get something else instead... decisions decisions... Also, I either haven't figured out the salvage building or the salvage building is terrible, but I haven't decided which yet.

Matthew Rossi (@MatthewWRossi) In addition to WoW I'm playing a lot of Dragon Age: Inquisition, which in Skyhold basically has a Garrison of its own.

Sarah Pine (@ilaniel) I am totally looking forward to playing WoW for a good chunk of the weekend. Work always looms large, but I am certainly taking some time to not do any of it. My garrison is not as decked out as it could be due to my overall lack of play time, but I've gotten a few buildings up to level 2 and am enjoying sending my followers on endless missions. I like to leave my garrison cache untouched for a few days and then it feels like Winterveil came early, haha.

The weekend is the perfect time to kick back, relax and enjoy some game time. Are you an achievement junkie? Can't get enough raiding? Rolling a new alt? Considering taking the leap into roleplaying? Whatever your favorite way to play

World of Warcraft, let us know in the comments what you're playing this weekend!
