The Queue: I am not Santa

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Matthew Rossi will be your host today.

I am, however, incredibly vain and egocentric.

WalterAnderson asks:
Did you get what you wanted for Christmas? If not were you happily surprised with what you did get?

Honestly, I didn't want anything. I tend not to want things aside from books, and I usually buy those for myself, so I'm an incredible pain to shop for. Get me an Amazon gift certificate or hand me fifty bucks and drive me to a bookstore, and I'm good. I'm writing this Queue Christmas Eve, so I don't know what I got yet, but I'm sure it was good.

GreenShyGuy asks:
Ok Question for the EVERYONE!

Next Expac, we go to a completely new world, where each faction befriends the next, never before seen, playable race. Its all new!

What is it?

It's Pandaria again! Hah, no, I'm kidding. Honestly, I don't know if I want a whole new world for the next expansion. There's at least one uncharted continent on Draenor we could explore, and they could always put a new one on Azeroth, or send us to the Emerald Dream, or... yeah, lots of things you can do with the IP. I mean, even if we did go to another world, there's worlds we've heard of but not seen like Xoroth and Argus.

I'm nerdy enough to admit I'd love to see the Protoss show up.

My life... for Aiur.

Xeraphax asks:
'Does anyone else find Kael'thas's dialogue in TK amusing nowadays. You one shot his advisors and he makes comments like: Well done. You have persevered against some of my best advisors.
Trust me, back at level 70 those guys earned that distinction. Nowadays, best and willing to get steamrolled by a person farming for a bird has interchangeable meaning in Kael's eyes.

JeffLaBowski asks:
Q4tQ:
What do you most look forward to on Christmas/holidays? For me it's the food! Going to have Italian beef an broasted chicken in a few hours. Tomorrow is lasagna.../drool.

I mostly look forward to watching my wife open her presents on Christmas morning. She still has a very amazing, beautiful love for the holiday and it's what makes it worthwhile for me.

But, uh, your food thing is good too. I guess. (Enjoy your lasagna.)

mspheonyxx asks:
Any word on the next WoW novel? I would love to read something about this Draenor. What its like for an orc or draenei coming over from Azeroth and being "home" but not "home." And Khadgar! Gotta have some Khadgar in there too.

I'm sorry, but I haven't heard anything about a new WoW novel. As soon as I do, I'll mention it, believe me.

Ron2 asks:
Maybe this is explained in the books, but why does Grom trust Garrosh in the first place? If I'm the Warsong chieftain and this stranger shows up bearing the tattoo of the Warsong chieftain, my first thought would be "usurper", not "savior."

Someone already linked the short story Hellscream but I'll link it again because it basically shows you exactly what happened. At first, Grom didn't trust him (his inner voice tells him that Garrosh is an outsider and a threat), but there was a sincerity to Garrosh's words and actions (especially how he won through the challenge of mak'rogahn) convinced Grommash to listen.

And that's the Queue for this Thursday, December 25th. See you all tomorrow.
