The point is if you are a Powerpoint jockey, where your job is basically to travel around and give presentations, all you want is something that does the basic stuff and stays out of your way. Plus, you could actually use this sucker on an airplane when the guy in front of you reclines his chair, without having to jab the laptop into your torso.
that being said, i'm not their target demo, i need a real desktop replacement and I don't mind lugging around a 10 pounder to get it.
Obviously no company wants to call things netbook because the owners of the trademark 'netbook' are suing right now, and not because it isn't a netbook, did engadget staff miss that? They keep suggesting it's just for some personal/marketing reason they suddenly don't want to call things netbook.
