It projects beyond 50" with easy.  I spent a good hour playing some Wii on it.  It has a built-in battery that runs a good 2 or 3 hours.  I've used it reliably for a few hours without any issues. It looks good but it does look like 640x480.  Aiptek says the 10 lumens brightness is something they're working on for the next model.
