Try the Xoom, its very 1.0 feeling but the browser UI felt so right.
My problem with the Xoom is that I don't want to spend $800 on a tablet. I'll consider it whenever they get around to releasing the WiFi-only version though.
I'm with you on that one. I'm waiting for Notion Ink to release 3.0 for the Adam.
There are so many devices coming out soon that I don’t think we are going to have to wait long for some cheaper devices.
Even View Sonic released a couple tables and they are priced pretty good. I’m curious to see what changes if any are going to be made to the Galaxy tab and I think when more of these devices like the Galaxy tab come out we will see the Xoom’s price come down.
I think this is something that is very rarely talked about. A lot of us are potentially locked into our devices now, due to the number of apps, games, and other software that we've purchased. If you switch platforms, you'll need to potentially repurchase hundreds of dollars in software again. For a mobile phone or tablet, that's not an insignificant sum.
I totally agree with that. There are still tons of great free apps that can replace the ones I had on my other iOS devices but what kills me is the media, my old music before DRM free won’t play (I know I can strip the DRM or download DRM from iTunes) and then there are the movies and TV shows that I have purchased on iTunes over the years and it’s surprising how fast your library can grow on you. I’m over a 1 TB and that’s mostly TV and Movies.
