Did they say how long it will take for Ice Cream Sandwich to be made compatible for it?
The RAZR is thin, light, somewhat durable, and decently spec'd...
...but it's just so UGLY!
Am I the only one that thinks this is an ugly phone? Also, I would urge anyone interested in buying this phone to wait until they see it in person. I don't have faith that Motorola can make a smartphone with a good screen. I think the screens on the Droid X line have been awful...
Sorry I can't be more enthusiastic about this announcement. I also think they're going to get very overshadowed by the Samsung announcement this evening...
The carbon fiber is tacky looking to me. Other than that, I'm pretty indifferent about the look of the phone. I would definitely like to hold it to see how thin it is in person.
I don't think it's that ugly but I believe it could have looked a lot better. I don't feel as bad about buying my Droid Bionic now that I see that my Droid Bionic looks a lot better (IMO). However, what really catches my attention is how thin it is. How thin my phone is will always play an important role in deciding my future purchases. It's why I stayed away from the Droid Charge, the Thunderbolt (HTC had to be kidding on that one), and any of the DROID 1s, 2s, and 3s.
As for Samsung Galaxy phones, however amazing the specs are or will be isn't enough for me to buy their phones. I prefer durability in a phone. I really don't understand how Samsung gets away selling these plastic encased phones. Having a 1.5 GHz Dual core processor won't protect my phone from a 5' drop onto concrete.
yeah you are the only one that thinks it is ugly.. all droid phones look the same now.. at least in body style. I am surprised Apple hasn't sued Motorola for patent infrigement
They probably haven't sued them because Motorola phones don't look that similar to iPhones. Samsung on the other hand...
The Droid Bionic screen is lovely IMO.
Ah, good to know. I haven't seen that one.
complete rip off of ipod nano
I don't agree with this sentiment. The Motoactv is a fitness device first, it has GPS, nano does not, has bluetooth, nano does not, has WiFi, nano does not, has a dedicated fitness site, and, when linked to an Android device, can receive incoming calls and texts, which the nano can't do. It just happens to have capabilities to play music, whereas the nano is an mp3 player that has Nike+ integration.
I feel duped. I just bought the Droid Bionic because my last phone died on me. If they release the Droid RAZR within the same price range, it'll be a slap in the face to many people.
yeah... i just said the same thing on my twitter feed, and a new discussion post!
