Do different processors/GPU's in different versions make a difference?

The Wifi/3G version of the note has a 1.9 GHz octa-core Samsung Exynos 5420 SoCprocessor, the 4G version a 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 SoC processor. Also, the Wifi/3G version has an ARM Mali-T628MP6 GPU and the 4G version has an Adreno 330 GPU.

Is this difference noticeable? More specifically, would the extra money be worth it if you're not planning on using 4G?

The Snapdragon 800 has slightly better graphics scores while the Exynos 5420 is slightly better in terms of cpu performance from the comparisons I have seen. I have the wifi model with the Exynos 5420 and have no complaints. Samsung released an update last week the really squashed the laggyness bugs people were complaining about.

That's great to hear! I read in some reviews about the laggyness and that is why I considered getting the 4G model instead. But it seems that wouldn't be worth the extra money.

I have had way too many android tablets and this by far the most useful tablet I have used. Having said that if you are not going to use the S Pen, I would suggest waiting for the new Nexus 10.

The Nexus 10 also sounds very good, but since I like to sketch a bit on my tablet, I'm probably going to go with the Note. I briefly considered getting a Cintiq Companion, but so far the reviews haven't been too good.

Never even heard of that one. Good thing too it is expensive. The cost of that and the divorce lawyer my wife would get for me spending any more money on devices would be steep.
