Engadget homepage redesign for CES PROBLEMS!

Okay so Engadget just changed their website for CES. Is it just me or is the new design completely useless? It has top stories, latest CES, etc. But there is NOWHERE that I can just view all posts in chronological order. Seriously we are going into the time period where Engadget has hundreds of daily posts and the only way for me to read them all is through their RSS feed?

Great job Engadget!

Thanks for the feedback. The old layout will return after CES. This was a CES specific layout to deal with the large amount of news that comes out of CES.

Actually, the entire home page is in the normal chronological order, it's just now in a much more information-dense layout (which will revert after CES is over).

Related, if you're not able to provide measured, constructive feedback to this team instead of wild, reactionary commentary, then perhaps you should move on.

I agree, but it is is chronological order.
Also, the images are to small to get a visual representation of the article and you can't get a summary of the text without clicking it.
Edit - Yeh, they are missing stories from the home page - the one on Inhabitat is missing

There was a bug with those missing stories which has since been fixed.

Just as long as all the stories are there, I am fine with the temporary redesign

Yeah like you said in the edit it is missing stories. The latest posts is ONLY things relating to CES or liveblogs. www.engadget.com/rss.xml is the only way to view all posts.

I am just baffled they would switch to this view with no option to revert right before their busiest post season. Hopefully someone reads this at Engadget and they fix it, but I'm not holding my breath :(

This new design is horrible!! It's so hard to tell whats what. Please go back to the old format ASAP! If you want a special page just for CES just make it, www.engadget.com/ces/ but please leave the old page how it was. Just feels like one big Ad for CES now.

The older posts link also doesn't work.

Same here, using Chrome. It has some "Because Boomshakalaka" image with a link to a Yahoo Sports article.

Yeah this really sucks. Its FAR too confusing, summaries are missing and there's no next page button...

We've just added summaries and increased the thumb size, and of course you have next page button

There's a next page button at the bottom of the page.

Engadget, please, if you're going to do something like this at least have the option of viewing the site in the old format. The new design is ridiculous. Too much topic jam packed into a single page, too little info to go with.

New design sucks big time.

Agree, this sucks big time. I can't believe Engadget try to change their site every X months and just make it worse and worse. If you introduce something like this as a trial, please make sure you have a mirrored old version available. Tracking how many go to the old version would show you how many choose to opt-out of the new format.

Yep the redesign sucks. Time to move onto another service.

Hey Jynxed, this is not a redesign, we've just adapted the layout in order to deal with the huge number of news we have per day. The actual design will return after the CES
