Definately the SNES. Had the best games. RPG games for the SNES were the best. Secret of Mana, Chrono Trigger, most of the Final Fantasy's(except Mystic Quest) etc
C. because I can't think of another set of games that brought me as much joy and anger in my childhood as Goldeneye, Mario 64 and Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of time.
The Wii would be a close second because of Mario Kart Wii, Super Mario Galaxy, and the newest Zelda. I would like to have been able to vote for SNES or NES but they were somewhat before my time in the video game realm.
I've yet to play Twilight Princess (actually, haven't played any Zelda games since ALTTP). How's it hold up to A Link To The Past?
man, theres a lot of games on the NES that are pure gold... You can play a lot of them inexpensively on the Wii's virtual console. Super Mario Bros. 1 and 3, Zelda, Tetris, Battletoads, Duck Hunt, Metal Gear, Captain Skyhawk, Batman RotJ, Castlevania 1-3, Contra, Bionic Commando, Galaga, Ice Climber, Mega Man 1-6, Mike Tyson's Punch Out, Nightmare on Elm Street, IronSword, Kid Icarus, Dr. Mario, Metroid, Super C, Smash TV, Super Sprint, Tecmo Bowl, Hogan's Alley, Paperboy, Kirby's Adventure, Little Nemo: The Dream Master, Double Dragon 1-3, A Boy and his Blob, Gradius, Ikari Warriors, 1942 & 3....
Almost every major franchise started here... almost every character from super smash bros. originated on the NES... they got all the material from every third party at that time and its good times...
Also, I may be in the minority here but Jet Force Gemini was one of my all time favorites on N64. And I can't leave our Star Fox 64 and Banjo Kazooie from this conversation...AH-mazing games that definitely push N64 to the top of my favorite console list.
And smash bros, that was and is one of the best 4 person fighting games ever.
I have to say that the Zelda games have been amazing since ALTTP. That was an awesome game (played it at my cousin's place a few times when I was super young). But I think Ocarina of Time was my favorite ever, followed closely by Twilight Princess. The gameplay experience in TP is awesome on the Wii, but OoT was just such an epic journey that it has to be my numero uno.
I am torn between C and E really and D was a good one, since it was the most used by me i am going with
Actually i may switch to C because in all honesty that was the console i played the most before my xbox.
A - only because I grew up playing it the most and still play it to this day...
C- still play Ocarina of time and Perfect dark on it.
I guess no on else played Nintendo consoles??? Only Sega, Sony, and Microsoft games up in here!!!
C!! Loved my N64! Golden Eye & Perfect Dark = Good Times!!
man I loved those games!! Perfect Dark was the most futuristic thing I had ever seen! Too bad about the xbox versions failed attempt to revive the series....
Definitely A for me, original NES was pretty amazing when it came out!
sadly, its only me and you on the NES...... I did post this on the N64 page though also! whoops...
Perhaps it would have been wiser to post this on the Nintendo company discussions instead. Most of the people reading this have, had, or want an N64, and they may not have had the other consoles, so that can skew the results.
I posted this back before people really looked at the company pages much.... Now its a lot easier to do so.... also, I post on the 360 and PS3 pages a ton, but that doesn't mean they are my favorite consoles... just what I'm playing more now...
A very close tie between B & C. Both were so amazing and have many fond memories attached. Still own and use them and both are my originals.
sidenote - any hardcore 2D Mario fans must play New Super Mario Bros. Wii. I'm itching to go home and play it right now!! :)
SNES for me it was the first game console i played. First time i played it was when i was 5 and by then my grandma gave it to me. I used to play super mario, zelda, and some other parachute landing airplane flying game which i cant remember the name of right now
NES all the way. It's what got me into games in the first place, so for me there is no other choice.
this is seeming like the more common response - that is, the first one you played is the one you loved.... thats the case for me... although I never owned the SNES or N64 until recently. Still don't own a Gamecube (lacked appeal for me) and love my Wii also... I played the original SNES until the Playstation 1 came out and still play it now too. I'm only now learning the great games the other Nintendo consoles have to offer... I suppose I should love Atari 2600 the most since it was my first first console, but none of those games affected me quite like Mario or Duck Hunt...
I'm torn between B and C, but the SNES was my first gadget, so I have to pick that.
As much as I love my N64, it just can't beat the amazing RPG selection I have for my SNES. (I feel very lucky to get ahold of Earthbound and Chrono Trigger cartridges earlier this year.) And I'll always have a place in my heart for Super Mario World, Super Mario RPG, and Donkey Kong Country 2.
The N64 loses a lot of points for me because of the atrocity that is Superman 64.
Bionic Commando 88 was totally awesome.
The Cube was really great (and the Resident Evil remake is still the prettiest game I've ever seen,) but I'm gonna go with N64.
In my case it would be a tie between the N64 and the Gamecube, I don´t think I could pick either one.
I really enjoyed playing the Wii but it lost its charm once I got an Xbox 360 and experienced Xbox Live and I don´t think I`ve ever turned it back on since.
