"Have you used the new app "Color" on your mobile phone yet?"
I have given it a whirl (or rather, seen it being given a whirl then half-heartedly played with it). And for lots of reasons, it makes even my buttcheeks clench in rage.
Hahahahaha, oh man. I will have to file that description away next time I'm angry at a piece of software or hardware.
I think it's just another company trying to jump on the social app bandwagon. Nothing about it really stands out to me as something I'd use over PicPlz.
This could be really fun if it wasn't user based but say group based. Think the good ole disposable camera on a table at a wedding but with a more real time application where people using their phones can see the pictures real time. I hope that made sense.
Flippancy aside, I can see lots of isolated pockets of excellent uses for this. However I really, really have problems with the broader proliferation of this type of application.
I agree, it's very niche and can be fun in some situations. Care to elaborate on your problems?
Mostly privacy and public order related from a medium-term mindset point of view.
Yeah. I wonder how well group based use would work though. Path tried to do that and hasn't executed that very well, in my opinion.
Only way I can think of is a group id with a password
I tried it out on my Evo and didn't really understand what the point is. It seems like the the company just wanted to use every current tech buzz word in the pitch. The app is confusing to use and kinda buggy on Android. Plus the seeing the pics of random strangers reminds me of chatroulette, and we all know how well that turns out.
The funding of the app is the only reason anyone pays attention to this app.
I think at big events this app might be cool but in the middle of no where north jersey the only pics on the app I can is the one of my dog. nothing else :P
Well, time to make a hipster out of your dog then :p
lol, I should turn him into a hipster but I think he is too old.
Link? I've heard people talk about this app on Twitter but I can't seem to find it by searching for "Color" in the Android market.
