what the hell is this thing?
It's essentially an open-source portable gaming device.
It has similar internals to the Nokia N900 and TI Beagleboard, so it has enough power to run a desktop Linux, and it has full OpenGL ES 2.0 support. It also manages to fit a full QWERTY and PSP-ish controls (except superior DUAL analog sticks!) in a case the size of a Nintendo DS. I've been watching it for a while now, but it keeps on hitting manufacturer problems and delays (kinda like the PS3 did -- these things don't only apply to the little guys). I intend to order one as soon as I see the first 3rd-party review of operating hardware.
Me too. Looks like we wont get it till 2010 though. There are still some MINOR case mold tweaks and the board mass production starts around XMAS. Still, even with the delays, there is nothing even close to this on the market. Go Pandora!
