Okay I'm thinking about dual boot installing Android 2.2 using iPhoDroid. Has anyone had experience with this? How is battery life and overall performance?

From what I hear, it's still pretty slow and battery life is miserable. Is the whole thing just for "oh i have android on my iphone" or is it actually a viable Android device?

It isn't very usable, eats through battery life in less then 5 minutes of use, fairly sluggish, and it doesn't have the android market, so there really isn't a point to it. I did it for fun, but until it gets on newer, faster devices, and gets battery management, it isn't usable. If you want to do it though, I suggest using bootlace rather than iPhoDROID.
