I'm still enjoying mine, but the game library could definitely use some love. Stoked for Zelda and Star Fox.
I wish they would stop w/ the rehashing of old titles... if youre going to bring Zelda to the 3DS, make it an original title, not a port of a 13 y/o game. Nintendo is getting lazy as of late
yes and no for me. i hate that they aren't very original these days, but i cant wait for ocarina of time, and i would never say no to a portable remake of goldeneye which i'm sure would never happen :'(
I think much like the DSi, I'm going to wait for this one for a while. Will probably wait so long as a 3DS lite, if at all. I'm one of the many people who cant see in faux 3D, so this handheld offers me little.
can't say i blame you. most of the launch titles aren't that great, new releases are few far between, and the 3ds hardware seems half baked. The stylus is in an inconvenient place, the design isn't as streamlined as the ds lite, the 3d slider seems like it will wear out, the hinge is wobbly which seems to be a common problem, and the battery absolutely sucks.
The software titles available at launch have been underwhelming. My focus group (aka my 8 and 10 year old boys) have moved back to the DSi and DSi XL because they aren't playing any 3DS games and prefer the screen aspect ratio on the older models for their older titles (mostly Pokemon. Some Mario, some Mario Kart, but mostly Pokemon).
I'm not "over" mine, but thats probably because I never owned any of the DS family. I'm having a great time catching up on old DS titles that I missed! I haven't purchased or played any 3DS titles, but I have plenty of games to entertain me while that library expands.
yeah you're in for a treat then. if you're looking forward to zelda ocarina of time, try the 2 zelda games for the ds. theyre great!
The new car smell is over for me with the 3DS. I've had my fill of the original releases for the most part now. I bought it thinking mostly of future titles so I am mainly just playing it a couple days a week for brief periods until something more substantial comes out.
yeah same here. it's odd because i'm using the 3ds more for ds games like chrono trigger than anything.
Not over mine, but that's because I knew going in it was going to be lacking in launch games. My personal favorite game is Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars, which is deep and replayable. I also end up using the 3D camera a lot. The biggest disappointment for me is actually the fact that StreetPass hits are few and far between and I've been taking my 3DS with me everywhere.
yeah, me too. whenever i go to a mall someplace with a lot of people, i take my 3ds and hardly ever get a streetpass. its great to get play coins too cuz who knows if zelda will use them.
