Do you really play your Wii after you bought it? I love the five star games but I am really not playing it at all, it is just collecting dust, what about you?

Same for me. I bought many games for my Wii, but I don't really play them at all. It's more like something to bring up when friends visit you and you don't know what to offer them. THEN it's really cool to play some Mario Party 8, Mario Cart, Shaun White Snowboarding (with the Balance Board) or plain Wii Sports. When I played on my own I liked Resident Evil 4 best (only "shooter" that really WORKS on the Wii). But I'm an old school PC gamer, so my preferences were set before - i like the Wii and I wouldn't replace it with a PS3 or something - I just stick to my PC when it comes to "serious" gaming.

Sometimes when people come over it gets used, but that's mainly for Guitar Hero and Rock Band. What's really gathering dust are the other game boxes

I don't use mine as much as I'd like. It does get it time in when we have people over. Party games are awesome on it. Rayman, Mario Kart, Mario Party and Suan White are all awesome with a lot of people. I bought Guitar Hero and I'm really not that into it. But it for one player/multiplayer games I use the PS3; way better.

Yes. I just got the EA Active. It's pretty good for exercise. Other than that, Mario Kart has been good as well as the yoga program from Wii Fit. Waiting for the new Super Mario Galaxy 2, Wii Fit Plus, EA Active 2, and this month's Wii Sports Resort.

I'm not using my Wii much at all. I tend to gravitate towards the PS3 for games like LittleBigPlanet. I've been upset with the Wii's lack of revolutionary games. It seems like everything new requires another accessory...

Get yourself a flatmii and download wii sport resort japan version todat if you really want to try it. I tryed it. It's a great family/party game but once again, it's too small of a game to be taken seriously.

oh I don't expect it to be a big game. Just a fun party and family game. That's about it. Not expecting much from it at all. Also, what is this flatmii?

I don't think I've played my Wii since I got my PS3 last summer. Sometimes I get angry when I look down below the tv and see the wii because I realize I pretty much wasted $249 plus whatever it cost for the 50 different pieces of controller that you have to buy.

Nintendo needs to come out strong next generation, but they probably won't because they're making a fortune with a gamecube on steroids.

yeah i totally agree with you...I think Nintendo should combine HD graphics with their kickass controller for the next generation....Now that'll be Revolutionary

Since I installed the homebrew channel I have played my wii a lot more. Being able to play NES,Sega Genesis, Super nintendo and other legacy systems has made it worth it. Before then, I didn't really play my wii much. Nintendo needs to diversify their catalog of games.

You mean stealing those games, correct? Because you can play NES, Super NES, Genesis, and several other systems' games on the Wii without any extra software - you just have to pay for them.

The Wii's "shine" has definitely worn off since its first release. Wii Sports has gotten a little old and Nintendo hasn't stepped it up with a new variety of games. I have had mine since the day after its release, and I have rarely played it over the past year. The one game that shows all of the Wii's capability the best is Zelda: Twilight Princess (just in my opinion, but I own every Wii game by Nintendo except Donkey Kong: Barrel Blast and Wii Music), and even this gets old after you beat it.

The last game I bought for my wii was MadWorld, which I loved, but that was about 4 months ago. I don't think I have even turned it on once since I beat that game.

After the initial two month burst I had let it start to slide. Then came Grand Slam Tennis. Now this is really fun. I expect I'll be using it a lot more for the next few months. Waiting for Sports Resort and the Motion plus.

I've had mine for over a year and I still play it several times a week. Just got the new Tiger Woods Golf, with the controller addon. It's great, closest thing to real golf yet. I use the Wii Fit almost daily. If all you want to do is sit on your ass and shoot stuff, this is not the console for you. My feeling is, if you're not using it, stop talking about it and sell it to someone who will.

I played it for a good few months last summer when I bought it but now I only ever play it when I have friends over and even then its only ever Smash Bros & Mario Kart.
I think they made the online gaming side of it a little to strict and complicated. Having a different code for each game is just confusing and time consuming.

Mine wasn't even plugin for at lease 6 month. But if you get a flatmii and download your iso then you will use it way more.

To be honest, I'm not surprised that Nintendo has dropped the ball in the games category, it seems to becoming a trend since the GC era. As revolutionary as the Wii was, it doesn't benefit anyone if you don't keep producing quality games for it. It's a bit like producing an electric car and not providing any way to recharge it...after that first run it pretty much just becomes a brick. I enjoy my Wii when I play it, but I don't like that I have to have people over to make it worth playing. I recently pulled Metroid Prime 3 out for and beat it for the second time but now I'm just twiddling my thumbs waiting for some other game to catch my attention and it doesn't look like that's going to happen any time soon. I'd grab a PS3 if the price would drop but I don't see that coming any time soon either. If Nintendo will get there head in the game and start marketing to hardcore gamers again, as well as the casual gamers, they'll be ok...if they don't I see them ending up right back where they were before the Wii came out...but that's just my opinion.

I got EA Active last month and have been using it pretty much daily. It's decent exercise (much better than Wii Fit), but not really a game. Other than that, really liking Tiger Woods 10 and looking forward to the Conduit.

I just got the new Tiger Woods '10 game. I played a few rounds of Frisbee golf (with a bunch of mulligans) and regular golf. It seemed fun but I haven't played since. I need some people over to play this stuff.... Frisbee golf is fun though.....

My buddy got one back when it first came out and I think I have played on it more than he has. It isn't the best console to play by yourself, but get a few friends together and you can have a blast. The 50 in 1 minigames are great (Rayman's Ravaging Rabbits) and provide hours of entertainment after the sun has gone down and you need something to help you fight sleep!

I sold mine recently as it was getting such little use and such little love from Nintendo. Nintendo have really let the games side of things slide over the last year and if they can't be bothered to release any decent games i can't be bothered to keep something that's simply collecting dust.

I recently bought one with my wife, and we have Mario Kart and the Wii Sports/Play games. Looking into getting Rock Band or Guitar Hero but we don't know which one to get. I've played both on different sytems, and Rock Band's drums are more responsive. Anyone have some insight on which is best for Wii?? Also, are the guitars compatible for both?

I'm juggling a bunch of games at the moment. Guilty Gear Accent Core Plus, Madworld, Punch Out, Conduit, FF4: The After Years, Ys 1 & 2, and Baroque are what I'm working on right now. Something for just about any mood I happen to be in... :P
