So many awesome games....

I remember so fondly of playing my Nintendo 64 with my older brother when I was younger. A few months ago, I dusted it off again and it still worked! I looked through some of the games that I had and remember some of the really fun games I used to play like Mario Kart 64, Super Mario 64, Mario Party 3, Pokemon Snap! (ha ha).

So, what are all of your favorite Nintendo 64 games and do you still love to play your Nintendo 64?

One of my friends had this system while we were in college. We would stay up till early in the morning playing either Mario Kart or Golden Eye. To this day Golden Eye is still one of my favorite FPS.

When people ask me about halo, or talk about how great it was. I say yeah, I played it back when it was called Goldeneye 64.
Epic game :)

Perfect Dark gave me lots of hours of madness, Zelda OoT was great, Mario 64 in 1996 blew my mind moving the camera and seeing a 3D impressive world, there was a lot of games that you could play for months thanks to multiplayer

you seem to have made my post for me. although I'd also add Majora's Mask, Super Smash Bros, and the Banjo Kazooie games to this list.

I still have one hooked up in my living room. It doesn't get used as much since many of the games we would play on it are also on the Wii, but I like to dust it off from time to time and break out some Mario Kart, or Zelda OoT.

Mario Kart 64 was amazing! Used to play multiplayer battles for hours! Being the bomb when you died first was the best thing ever! I don't have the game anymore though, been trying to get my hands on a copy for awhile now.

Oh, Zelda OoT, how I miss you. And Goldeneye, one of the greatest. I never got into LAN parties and stuff later on, but we had some rockin Goldeneye tourneys with 3-4 consoles all set up at someone's house.

I used to play a Nintendo 64 game a lot that I loved but I can't remember the name...

You played as a character with invisible legs and arms (but with hands and feet), and you fought pirates or somthing.

It was called Raymond or something... I can't seem to find it around my house ha ha. Does anyone remember that game, or at least no the name?

I think you're talking about Rayman. They made a bunch of Rayman games for all the gaming platforms back in the day. Surprisingly he's still around, it's the same guy that's in the Rayman Raving Rabbids games for the Wii.

Ya, I just found it ha ha. The cartridge is green, the only non-gray cartridge I own except for the half gold Pokemon Colosseum.

Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, and Star Fox 64 (which I played on Virtual Console last night! FOUR times through!)

I must also add Pokemon Snap, Kirby 3D, and Banjo-Kazooie too. Although I'd probably say Ocarina of Time is my all-time favorite.

The rumble pak that came with Star Fox 64...Changed my life. So did Wave race.

And...Still the best wrestling game ever created...WWF No Mercy. I know a lot of games are better "nostalgically"...But this is one where it has yet to be surpassed. I'm no wrestling fan...But that was just a fun game any way you slice it.

Star Wars - Episode One Racer and Banjo and Kazooie seem to hold particularly fond memories for me!

Three words: Beetle Adventure Racing.
If you haven't played this game you owe it to yourself to buy a used copy from ebay or a used game store, dust off your console and rock out. This game is one of the best N64 games out there but it was never very well known or popular. The race tracks are the coolest and most well designed I have played on any racing game from any console, and they are LOADED with secret areas that are actually fun to discover. There is also a great 4-player multiplayer mode called Beetle Battle that rivals Mario Kart 64's battle mode.

I'll have to check it out. If it can rival Mario Kart it must be amazing!

+1. Tons of great memories of playing this with my cousins back in the day. Its a true hidden gem on the N64, and the battle mode is fantastic- I prefer it to Mario Kart, actually.

Probably the same as everyone else. Maroi Kart was the first I bought and we played it non stop.

And then came the greatest game ever Glodeneye. I am still playing now in my quest to complete the game before I die!

I loved Mario 64, Mario Kart and Goldeneye but there were some other gems like Star Wars Racer, Starfox 64, Turok and 1080 Snowboarding that were also brilliant ... my N64 sits right next to my PS3 and if it wasn't for the Blu-Ray and network video streaming for the PS3 I would be using my N64 more!

Back in college we used to play Goldeneye for hours with the sound turned off and either the Hunt for Red October or The Rock soundtracks going in the background. OoT was great and all, but the time spent blowing my buddies up with proximity mines simply trumps everything.

I didn't know about Goldeneye when I was younger (to young I guess ha ha), but from all these posts I wish I had!

Goldeneye is still considered to be the greatest FPS of all time. It's on the top of the list for me, at least.

Mario 64, Star Wars Episode 1 podracer, DK 64, and Diddy Kong Racing, which I actually preferred over mario kart. Can't forget about the mario party games either! And super smash bros.

I agree with all the above, but had to add The New Tetris and Bomberman 64.

N64 was the place to be fore console FPSs back in the day. Played for HOURS on 007 and Perfect Dark.

Don't forget Turok 2: Seeds of Evil (arrows sticking in the dinosaur arms and such fun) and Jet Force Gemini.
