Our tour starts above Aldor Rise. What's that up in the corner, just behind the ridge?
Why, it's an empty Horde town. There's nothing up here at the moment-- at one point, it could have been a Horde-only section of Shattrath City.
Next, it's off to northern Nagrand, where, hidden in the hills, is a tiny bungalow that's seemingly abandoned (also check out the little dog house on the side). But inside...
Yup, it's a nursery-- inside the house, there's little babies of all the different races-- check out the Tauren baby! And the freaky NE one...
All around Nagrand, you've probably seen these floating islanes. But on one of them, just north of Garadar, lies...
This poor fella, who's a skeleton with an axe in his head surrounded by apples. It could be Sir Issac Newton (who supposedly got hit on the head with an apple, not an axe), or just one of William Tell's unfortunate assistants.
In southwestern Nagrand, above the Forge Camp, is a small , empty hut with a few burial shrouds around it. It could be that this was a planned graveyard that never got used.
Next, it's off to Hellfire Peninsula, where I heard there was a skeleton hanging out on one of the ramparts. I never found the skeleton, but I thought it was cool that, outside the Ramparts instance, you can see where the instance takes place. The bridge in the middle of the picture is the bridge where HFR starts, and the two platforms, for Omor and Vazruden, are right where they should be.
This place isn't so hidden, but it is cool, and not a lot of players have seen it-- on the northern range of HFP, there's a demonic area called Throne of Kiljaden. It's staffed by crazy 72 elite demons and hounds, and in the middle is these two felreavers guarding none other than Lord Kazzak. Yup, when you hear him yelling, this is where he's yelling from.
Back down in Terrokar, you can find this Arrakoa village and pond in the mountains above Stonebreaker Hold. It's empty right now, but the pond, a CM has said, provides some really good fishing-- at level 450. Which of course we won't see for another few expansions.
Another view of the buildings near Stonebreaker Pond. It's too bad these areas are unused right now-- they look great.
Finally, our last stop on the tour goes to the Bone Wastes in Terrokar. Just east of there, hidden in the mountains, you can see a few Arrakoa buildings. As you fly up over that ridge...
You'll find the Arrakoa capital city of Skettis, bustling with lots of level 72+ stuff (this pond holds a 72 elite as well). There's a few cats around, a few elementals, and lots of Arrakoa casters and hunters. The place is huge.
And something is happening up here. Skettis conjurers routinely use these markings on the ground to summon.. something magical. A few players have speculated that the Auchindoun lore quests will continue up here at some point. I'd love to see a Skettis 25 man raid, too. So while these locations are hidden right now, soon, the secrets of Outland might reveal even more than we know.
