Not all guides have to be about how to defeat the uber raid boss for the epic armor drop, or how to spec a character of a certain class. Sometimes we like to write up guides to general MMO issues that aren't specific to any one game. Since we've done so many of those over the past 11 months, we're just featuring the ones that come in a top <insert number here> format here today.
Because those are super fun, right?

Age of Conan's first few months haven't quite gone as swimmingly as its players and developers had hoped. Nevertheless, we like the game because it has an excellent sense of atmosphere. That atmosphere comes at a cost, though; it's not too kind to low end PCs. But if you can handle it, there's some cool stuff to see!
We've published a few guides related to that strong sense of atmosphere, and we're linking to them here. First up is a gallery comparing Age of Conan's Hyboria with that of the Arnold Schwarzenegger movies. Definitely look over it. It's pretty interesting. We've also written up backpackers' guides to two of the most beautiful regions in the game.

EVE Online is a very complicated game. It's also very different from most other MMOs, so newcomers are pretty much always lost. Through two regular columns -- Rogue Signal and EVE Evolved -- we've provided important knowledge for both newbies and veterans. We've also put together visual guides and some more unusual lists, such as the ten commandments and the seven deadly sins of EVE.

The Lord of the Rings Online was the hot item when our site first launched, and although it doesn't see quite as much hype anymore, it's still a big and important player in the industry. That's why we tried to give it some attention when we set out to write guides. Instead of the standard "how to get to level ten as an Elf" fare, though, we've chosen to highlight some of our guides to things that are more or less unique to LotRO, such as monster play.

World of Warcraft is still the biggest, baddest Western subscription-based MMO in the world today. That said, a lot of folks have been playing it for up to four years now, and they're starting to get a little bored. They want something fresh. Maybe not too fresh -- maybe they don't want to move to EVE Online or something radical like that, but they're ready to move on to something familiar yet different.
To help them, we put together three guides to help make the transition to the other side's greener grass a little easier. If you're a WoW player thinking of moving on, be sure and read these!

Warhammer Online has arguably been the biggest MMO launch since World of Warcraft -- so far, anyway. Since we knew our readers wanted as much information about the game as possible (and because we were just as excited as you were!) we committed ourselves to hitting the ball out of the park when it came to WAR guides.
That's why we created our "Massively goes to WAR" and "The Elves of WAR" series of featured articles, both of which included in-depth guides to almost every aspect of the WAR experience. We're happy with what we've done so far (and it ain't over yet, boys and girls), so if you're partaking in the WAR craze, we recommend checking our coverage out. Here are a few sample articles, followed by links that will let you browse through every single word of every single feature. Enjoy, and thanks for reading!
