Gather your supplies. Perler beads come in several different packaging options. I used the Primary Colors container (15,000 beads) and the Ocean Friends bucket (8,500 beads). The bucket includes a square peg board, but you will want to purchase the larger board that comes in a multi-pack, which also includes some other neat shapes.
Separate your beads into their own color group. Try to match the colors as much as possible.
Print out your guide and put it next to your peg board. Be sure to sit in a comfortable spot because this can take a while.
Place your beads on the peg board according to the guide.
When you have added all of your beads, put a sheet of ironing paper over the top and iron on medium heat, in a circular motion, until the pieces are heated and the edges are sticking together. Let the paper cool before removing to check your progress because some of the beads can still lift if they are not connected. When you're finished with this side, flip the coaster over and repeat the ironing process.
Your completed coaster should look like this.
A shot of the coaster in use. Enjoy!
