Microsoft seems dead set on killing the need for both a laptop and a tablet with their latest announcement. With the same weight, more power, and a refined design, Microsoft might just have a winner on their hands.
On the other hand, I think I speak for everyone when I express intense desire to do crosswords on my super expensive piece of high-tech machinery.

iFixit has become quite popular, and their teardowns of newly announced products always grab the attention of the tech world. Their most recent teardown of the newest Retina model Macbook Pro unsurprisingly scored a 1, and of course it's causing a bit of a stir. While they are often interesting since they provide a real good look at the product, do these teardowns serve any form of relevance anymore? Especially for products like the... Read more →

According to a new report, Apple is now the world's top PC maker -- if you count the iPad as a PC. Microsoft has announced pricing for the upcoming Surface with Windows 8 Pro, which is expected to ship in January (http://blogs.technet.com/b/microsoft_blog/archive... The new tablet will sell for $899 with a 64GB SSD, and $999 with 128GB. A keyboard, such as Microsoft's Touch model, will cost extra. How does this compare to other Windows 8 tablets? Lenovo's... I'm a techie that has yet to indulge in a tablet, my parents have been through a few iPad's and swear by them. I've been an iPhone user for a few years now and I am reasonably committed to the app space, but I cannot for the life of me decide between the mini or the updated retina display. I've gotten used to 'retina land' on my iPhone but I really like the mini's form factor. I'm not looking to get an LTE radio because I really don't think I would tote it around all that much --...
