Detailed review
Over all i love my 13 inch macbook pro with retina display. But with that said I have three things that i don't like. 1. the 128GB hard drive is very hard to live on i filled it up in a few days. I really suggest getting the 256gb or bigger but i couldn't afford the 2k plus price to upgrade everything. 2. The video card in my opinion is a bit weak it wont play any of the newer upper-end games with anything better then 10 to 18 FPS. Which considering the 1,800+ buck cost of the machine i think is a bit of a weakness. 3. The over all cost of the machine. Aside from the Retina display, the hardware in the MBP is middle of the road. if you don't need or absolutely want the retina display and you want to play games once in a while i would go with something else that is the same price with better hardware or get the same hardware with out the retina screen for much less money.
Things i love about the MBP with retina display (13inch). The cooling system is very effective and compared to most, almost silent. The thickness of the laptop is perfect in my opinion, not to thin and not to thick but just right. The weight is good as well. It is light but not to light as to feel like it will blow off of your lap or so thin and light it becomes hard to use like the MacBook Air(in my opinion). I never use the CDROM drive and am happy to see it go. But it would be nice if they put a few more USB 3.0 ports or more ports in general in the laptop. Over all i am happy with the product, i will keep it for probably 3 or 4 years at least. If you have the money and like the Retina display i would say definitely buy this laptop. If your on a tight budget, or if you need more powerful video card or hardware consider a different laptop. I love the retina screen and it was worth the 400 or 500 more for just the thinness, weight, cooling system and retina screen.
