If you're looking for a 10-inch tablet for under $300, you won't find many options, and in that small niche, the Asus MeMo Pad Smart 10 could be your best choice. As Liliputing puts it, "Asus was able to keep the price relatively low by opting for a processor that’s been on the market for over a year and using an acceptable, but less-than-stellar display," resulting in "a reasonably attractive, portable, and sturdy tablet for the price." However, if you're willing to spend another $100, "you can get a whole lot more tablet for your money." Android Police concurs, saying that "if you absolutely cannot go over $300, the MeMO Pad Smart is a pretty good option" though at $400, "a whole new world of options are opened up, including the powerhouse [Samsung] Nexus 10." You can also spend about $200, and get a 7-inch tablet that offers similar performance to the MeMo Pad Smart 10, such as the target="_new">Asus Nexus 7.

Yes, it’s a very inexpensive tablet, but it’s that way for a reason: it has outdated hardware, and its performance is about where you’d expect for that kind of tablet. It’s a great buy for those who just want a basic tablet.

At $299, it's hard not to recommend someone look at the MeMo Pad Smart 10 if they are considering a 10-inch Android tablet. If the lower resolution display doesn't bother, the specs are certainly higher than the price warrants.

In all fairness, the Asus MeMO Pad Smart 10 is a wonderful option if you’re on a tight budget for a 10” tablet; It has enough of a well-rounded performance to propel it over other comparable models, and the $300 price point that’s attached to it is absolutely dreamy for something that’s...

The MeMo Pad ME301T isn’t designed to be the best tablet around — it’s designed to be one of the best available for a certain price, and it succeeds at at that. But if you can afford a $299 tablet you might able able to afford a $399 tablet… in which case you can get a whole lot more tablet...

Potential buyers who are aware of the fact that compromises are necessary when purchasing a lower-end device, are going to end up with a tablet which outclasses most of its direct competition and features a longer battery life, a better screen, and better sound.

Considering the price, the MeMO Tab Smart 10 is a good buy for a first-time tablet owner, as a gift, or if you just prefer a larger size screen regardless of resolution.

If you want a 10-in. tablet and have a strict $300 budget, the MeMO Pad Smart is a fine device for that amount of money. If you can justify dropping an extra hundred bucks, though, you'll get a vastly superior product with the Nexus 10.

i am greatly fascinated by the speed of a quad core processor for the price of this gadget, the sound quality is almost like a miniature home theater due to the " audio wizard" control system. i can't complain much about the video quality it's perfect for me and the price but i do know there is...
