We like the cloud integration and where the OS is going, but the Amazon results are too intrusive and the system needs a bit of work to make it more reliable.

Ubuntu is a great OS. Almost all programs can run on it (even Windows programs - with Wine and Mono) extremely well. Games run at pretty good frame rates and web browsing is snappy. For office use, it comes preinstalled with LibreOffice - which is compatible with Microsoft Office. The best part...
