In the end, Corsair has exceeded expectations. The audio quality, while not perfect, is certainly excellent overall. Factor in the high level of comfort and the $99 price tag, and you have a nearly unbeatable combination.

If you're in the market for a comfortable gaming headset and are willing to fiddle with it to get just the right sound quality, you could do a heck of a lot worse than the Corsair HS1.

If you're gaming on a laptop, it's a credible way to get accurate surround effects mixed into a stereo feed. On a desktop PC, however, the Steelseries 7H is a better set of cans ... A good first attempt from Corsair, nonetheless.

Corsair has successfully made a great headset and it performs magnificently. The two areas it stands out is audio quality and comfort. If these two things are your primary concerns for a headset then the Corsair HS1NA USB Gaming Headset is a great choice.

The Corsair HS1 is a headset capable of high-quality audio that’s also supremely comfortable to wear over long periods - a rare feat indeed. More than a few times during our testing we looked around our desks for the HS1 only to realise we were still wearing it – it really is that comfy!
