conclusion:We like it

Given that you can shoot HD video from just about any current phone or digital camera, a dedicated camcorder needs to do more than just make movies. The GoPro HD Hero2 does a lot more. You can shoot underwater, on the slopes or in the dirt. If you're looking for a go-anywhere HD camcorder that will come back in one piece, the GoPro is hard to beat (and we mean that literally).

For the most part, GoPro has improved on what was already a popular product, so we expect newcomers to be pleased, but upgraders might want to consider if there is enough net benefit.

The GoPro HD Hero2 is a rugged HD video camera that can take a beating and go deep underwater. It includes a number of different mounting tools so that you can affix it to a helmet, skateboard, or anything else you can imagine.

The GoPro HD Hero2 is easily the best GoPro camera yet, with the ruggedness and quality that we've come to expect and a new user-friendly interface.

I had to pick one from all the sports cams currently on the market, I'd grab this one. The images it takes are great. It's not just HD-sized, it actually looks HD. I like the Contour ROAM a lot, but the Hero 2 has more options and the image quality simply wins.

If you don't have the original HD Hero, this is certainly a little camera well worth considering. If you have the original, then this is probably enough of an upgrade to make it worth selling the old one and grabbing one of these.

If you're looking for an action sports helmet camera GoPro has once again set the standard and raised the bar for all others to chase. It's also an ideal 'B' camera to supplement footage filmed with your DSLR or camcorder under tougher conditions. Overall an easy camera to Highly Recommend.

I got the GoPro Hero2 from my fiance for my Birthday (just after Christmas) and it's amazing! I've been recording timelapses over the last few years using lots of different cameras (mostly needing control from a laptop). This camera is tiny, and produces exceptional quality videos and photos...

Amazing device. I have used it in many events and outdoor shoots. It has proven to be the best wing-man in terms of a digital recording device.

I have been using this camera since Christmas 2011 to record my two sons' wrestling matches. The wide angle lens allows me to set it down on a small tripod at the edge of the mat and sit back and enjoy the match. Before this camera, I was stuck choosing between following the action in my...

I love the gopro2. It is the best all around camera ever. Of all time. You can literally drop it from space and it still would be filming when you found it (its happened a few times). You can film in ANY condition; I've never had a gopro fail on me. The only thing that can be improved is the...

Doesn't matter how great the quality of the image. It is a nice image but the customer service is very dissapointing! Buy the camera if you want but be aware that gopro is only interested in your money not your satisfaction with the product. Dont chance plugging it into your TV. it may get stuck...
