Heads up! A newer version of this product has been announced and will be released in November, 2015!

Who likes the design of the OnePlus One mobile phone?
Personally, I think it is the second best design of 201 4 after HTC One M8. Let us know your thoughts.
I have the 64GB version with sandstone black colour and it looks and feel amazing. It is surprising for such a competitively priced phone to be so cool in design. I have posted some real phone design pictures in my review below.
Share with us your thoughts about its design considering all other flagships are at least 1.5x the price of this... Read more →

Which phone should I get, and should I wait?
It's time for me to upgrade my cellphone and I've been doing me research on which phone I should get or even if I should even get one. I've been using the iPhone 5 since it came out and had a go with the OnePlus One over the summer and loved the phone, only problem with that was that the battery does not come out. Now I have ordered the iPhone 6 Plus, and questioning if I should even get it. What phones are out there that people would suggest, or is there something coming out that would be...

AT&T Upgrade Fees & Recurring Charges
Hi all - I recently performed an upgrade via Best Buy mobile for AT&T and have two issues:

1. A $40 upgrade charge appeared on my bill (unbeknownst to me). How to remove?
2. The recurring charge for my line jumped from $25 to $40. How to revert?

Many thanks for those that can share your experience.

Has your phone replaced your camera?
It's that time of the year when we get all the latest bits on the camera industry: Photokina. Of course we're there and covering it [1]. I know it's still early but one thing I'm noticing is we're not getting a ton of announcements for point and shoot cameras. Sure, Canon has a fancy new rival with the RX 100. Panasonic followed up with the update the LX7. But these are higher end cameras commanding something in the $500-700 price range.
As our phones get more and more powerful, we're getting... Read more →

How often do you upgrade your phone?
We're getting a lot of exciting phone announcements over the last week.
IFA gave us the following:
  • Galaxy Note Edge
  • Galaxy Note 4
  • Samsung Galaxy Alpha
  • LG G3 Stylus
  • Sony Xperia Z3
  • Sony Xperia Z3 Compact
That same week Motorola also showcased the following:
  • Moto X
  • Moto G
And tomorrow is Apple's big day where we'll likely be seeing a new iPhone (or two).
The thing is, even with all this exciting new stuff I don't have any urge to upgrade. I bought my iPhone 5S on release day and a... Read more →

How are you keeping your online data safe from 'hackers'?
In light of the recent[1] Apple iCloud news[2], I think it's a good time as any for us to re-evaluate how we're keeping our data safe in the cloud. I have a few measures in place including some two-factor methods and completely random passwords. Unfortunately no solution is full-proof but any methods can help.
With nearly every photo coming from iCloud, I'm beginning to second guess my reliance on auto-back up services. I know SpiderOak is supposed to be all... Read more →

Which case is best for HTC One M8

Have you replaced your remotes with a mobile device?
Ever since I picked up a Harmony One I have been singing its praises. To me it's the perfect device for the living room with its sleek profile and convenient to reach buttons. This is why it pains me every time I go to use it and notice buttons not responding as well as they once did: it's on its last legs. Naturally, these aren't made anymore and the options from Logitech aren't great. The Hub is a... Read more →

IRL: Taking HTC's One M8 for a test drive
Check out the original post here:
The original HTC One was one of my favorite smartphones from 2013, but it was easy to see why you'd pass it up in favor of an archrival like Samsung's Galaxy S4 -- it just didn't have the battery life, camera quality or expansion to keep up. Fast-forward to 2014 and it's a different story. Most of those headache-inducing flaws have been fixed in the new One; indeed, my colleague Brad Molen suggested it was an... Read more →

Switching Carriers - How to get the best deal?
I've been a T-Mo user for a number of years, and for the most part have been very happy. Unfortunately, I recently moved somewhere a little more remote, and the coverage is too frustrating. I need to switch to one of the big 2, either ATT or Verizon. I do get a service discount from my employer for AT&T, so I'm definitely leaning that way.
Now to choose 2 phones, and make sure I get the best intro deal. Is it best to shop online, or will I be better off calling and talking to sales? Or can I... Read more →

Is Amazon's Fire Phone worth caring about?
Just a few hours ago, Jeff Bezos took the stage to announce Amazon's latest hardware venture: Fire Phone.
It mostly has spec parity with many of today's popular smartphones: large screen (4.7 inches), nice resolution (1280x720), fast processor (2.2GHz), and a seemingly good camera (13MP). However, Amazon is also introducing a few new tidbits: the screen features "Dynamic Perspective" which adjusts the... Read more →

    screen protector for M8
    Hi there,
M8 was the device I always wanted and I did get it. The look and feel along with its elegance .. no words can explain. I am in love with it.
The problem I have is i want a cover for this beauty but do NOT want to loose the feel, elegance or touch of it. Solution, a ultra clear screen protector.
Started looking around on ebay for the thing and found a couple of options available out there. One that I think is a decent has:
    Price of 12$
    Shipping for FREE
    Anti Scratch
I think this is the one,... Read more →

Will we ever see cheaper phones?
OnePlus finally took the covers off their One phone (I don't get the name either) and it's pretty impressive. It has the specs to stand against some of the top flagships out there and comes in at $300, which is about half the price of major flagships. The two potential downsides are the battery is not removable, and it only has 16GB of storage with no microSD slot. However for only $50 more you can get 64GB of storage instead.
    The phone... Read more →

    S5 or M8? and Why?
I am really stuck here. I lost my S3 and have been waiting for these two phones to launch. Now that the time is here, I cannot decide! I have Samsung accessories, but the M8 is coming out with some pretty awesome accessories. The S5 has a removable battery (which I LOVE!). Its also water resistant, but I can Liquipel the M8. The S5 also supports Qi Wireless Charging as the M8 does not. Hoping one of you can help me decide. I greatly appreciate it!

I'm really interested in the HTC One!
Brad published his review of the new HTC One earlier today and gave it some pretty high marks:
I've always had a thing for the HTC One, but one thing that boggles my mind is why they don't make the camera a bit better. I know that megapixels aren't everything, but to basically stick with the same camera module as the original (4MP)? Come onnnnnnn, HTC!
Anyway, it looks like there's... Read more →
