It's a keyboard. A charging station. A speaker (and speakerphone). The iHome iDM5 tries to be everything for your iPad or other Bluetooth-capable tablet or smartphone, and gets at least some of it right. While it works well as a Bluetooth speaker, the keyboard leaves something to be desired, and unless you find iHome's all-in-one approach useful, you'll likely be better served by going a la carte.

The price point includes a Bluetooth keyboard, Bluetooth stereo speaker system, Bluetooth speaker phone, and device charging station capabilities. That is a lot of proverbial bang for your hard-earned dollar!

It could be an almost perfect travel keyboard/audio system if it had a rechargeable battery – and you didn’t mind the size and weight of the iDM5. You can’t always get exactly what you want, but the iHome iDM5 delivers almost everything you need!
